You can now pre-order a “Nope” 4K Ultra HD Steelbook!

Fans of Nope, Jordan Peele’s third feature film and the winner of the Academy Award for Best Director, will be pleased to hear that Universal has released another extraterrestrial surprise. Only four days after its theatrical debut, the science fiction smash starring Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer is now available for pre-order on Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray exclusively at Best Buy’s limited edition steelbook. Otis “O.J.” (Kaluuya) and Emerald Haywood (Haywood), played by the actor and actress respectively, are introduced to viewers in Peele’s original writing and directorial effort Nope (Palmer). O.J. and Emerald inherit the family horse ranch when their father dies in a peculiar and unexpected manner; the ranch is also the residence of a dark and otherworldly entity.

Together with a local Fry’s employee named Angel (Brandon Perea) and a renowned cinematographer named Antlers Holst, they set out to film evidence—specifically, an “Oprah shot”—that will make all previous UFO recordings look amateur (Michael Wincott). It’s possible that the experience of trying to record such a massive event will be more than the siblings can handle. In 2022, moviegoers once again demonstrated their insatiable appetite for the cinematic experience, and filmmakers responded by unleashing IMAX-sized movies designed to keep audiences coming back for more. In his third picture, Peele balanced the line between science fiction and horror to attract an audience in the summer.

Despite Paramount’s historic year, Universal has already surpassed $3 billion in revenue this year and is urging moviegoers to watch the film not just once but twice. The sweeping visuals and complex plot of the alien film demand a second watching, which will soon be possible without leaving the comfort of our own homes. The Blu-ray and Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD of Nope in the Limited Edition steelbook are both presented in 2160p with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, bringing home theatre audiences as close to the IMAX experience as they can get without leaving their couches.

The steelbook edition of Nope has unique artwork on the front and back covers, inner spread, and 4K CD; other extra features are TBA. The retail price of Nope is $34.99 for the two-disc collection. Best Buy is the only place where fans can pre-order the Limited Edition SteelBook. There is currently no estimated ship date for Nope since it is still playing in cinemas.
