In spite of the COVID problems that have plagued Netflix’s The Witcher series, the Geralt of Rivia is reportedly back at work on the Season 3 sets, as reported by the news outlet Redanian Intelligence. On July 25, news broke that star Henry Cavill had tested positive for COVID, causing an immediate halt in filming. The streamer said in a statement at the time that they had stopped operations because of the epidemic and that they will resume normal operations “as soon as it is safe to do so.” A week later, actresses Mecia Simson, Cassie Clare, and Harvey Quinn posted multiple photographs from the sets, confirming that work had resumed.
Speculations about Cavill’s involvement in the series were fueled when he posted an Instagram photo of himself playing about on his computer during his free time, despite the fact that the series was filming sequences that did not include him. As kings and animals prepare to track down Ciri, this season will see Geralt shift his perspective on politics on the Continent. At the end of Season 2, it was revealed that the White Flame is actually Duny, Ciri’s father and the Emperor of Nilfgaard also known as Emhyr Var Emreis. Summary
