In the forthcoming third season of Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q, the notorious Chart will continue to expand. Showtime has announced that Margaret Cho, Joey Lauren Adams, and Emmy candidate Joanna Cassidy will all make surprise appearances on Generation Q Season 3, as is tradition for the programme. The thrilling announcement that Kehlani, a singer and songwriter nominated for a Grammy, will also be appearing follows this one. All hail Generation Q, who managed a W for the lesbians! Cho will guest star as herself on Alice, the late-night talk show hosted by Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey) in the forthcoming third season of Generation Q. Cho has been nominated for five Grammys, five Emmys, and is a stand-up comedian, actor, and champion for the LGBTQ+ community.
The actress has had guest appearances on shows including Hacks on HBO and 30 Rock on NBC, as well as in films like The Book of Queer and The Flight Attendant with Kaley Cuoco. Adams will appear as a guest star playing the role of Taylor, a self-deprecating barista who is nice and honest. Adams has a long list of film credits, including Dazed and Confused, Big Daddy, Animal, and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, and she received critical praise for her performance in Chasing Amy.
In addition to Grey’s Anatomy and USA’s Tara and Party Down, Adams has been in other popular TV shows. Post-production on Providence, starring Lily James, Uzo Aduba, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, is her next project. The L Word: Generation Q’s showrunner and executive producer, Marja-Lewis Ryan, is overjoyed to have such illustrious actors join the show’s “sparkly cast.” In Generation Q, Cassidy plays Patty, the mother of Tess (Jamie Clayton). Tess and Shane’s relationship may be thrown for a loop by the show’s inclusion of Patty, a former Las Vegas showgirl who now suffers from multiple sclerosis and dementia (Katherine Moennig).
Cassandra Cassidy is a film and TV actress best known for her parts in Blade Runner (directed by Ridley Scott), Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Under Fire. There are many shows she has appeared such as Switched at Birth, Bones, Six Feet Under, and Buffalo Bill. Cassidy received Emmy nods for her roles as Margaret Chenowith and Jo Jo White on the TV shows Six Feet Under and Buffalo Bill. In addition to the original cast members, Cho, Adams, and Cassidy will be joining the ensemble group. Tess, played by Clayton, has been promoted to a series regular and joins Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), Tina Kennard (Laurel Holloman), Hailey, and Moennig from the original cast, as well as newcomers Dani Nùez (Arienne Mandi), Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas), Gigi Ghorbani (Se Rosie O’Donnell will make a return appearance as Tina’s friend Carrie.
In November, we can expect to see the third season of The L Word: Generation Q. The series premiere will appear on television on November 20 at 8 p.m. ET and will be available to watch and on-demand for Showtime members on November 18. Brand new episodes are released every Friday for subscribers and every Sunday on the air.
