On Sunday, August 7th, a genuine “Hot Girl” will perform at The Pynk. In the second-to-last episode of Season 2 of P-Valley, after much foreshadowing, Megan Thee Stallion appeared on-screen as Tina Snow. She’ll “show up and show out” with the Pynks on Starz’s latest, huge episode. New photos from forthcoming episodes suggest the three-time Grammy winner will arrive in style when she makes her Season 2 appearance. She takes the microphone and begins rapping alongside Lil’ Murda (J. Alphonse Nicholson) while bills rain down around them. Unlike in the original Season 2 promotional material, she no longer wears the fur coat that was a focal point of her look; now, she lets her diamonds do all the talking.
When she sat down for a photo, she was also shown draped in a pink Versace robe with a gold accent, an ostentatious display meant to wow the other guests at The Pynk with her wealth. While Megan’s performance as Snow is undeniably impressive, this episode also represents a significant turning point for Lil’ Murda, who was previously shown without his chain but is now seen wearing Big Murda’s jewellery. The Starz original series P-Valley, based on Katori Hall’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Pussy Valley, has been a huge success, following the lives of the employees and customers of a fictitious strip club in the fictional town of Chucalissa in the Mississippi Delta. The second season raises the stakes for everyone at The Pynk with the arrival of fresh blood which may alter the club’s course.
This week’s episode, titled “Snow,” was written by Hall and will be directed by Jenée LaMarque. P-Valley boasts an enormous cast including Brandee Evans, Elarica Johnson, Nicco Annan, Parker Sawyers, Shannon Thornton, and Nicholson. Hall, together with Dante Di Loreto, is the show’s executive producer and showrunner. The introduction of Megan has been somewhat gradual thus far. The rapper collaborated on an original song for the show, and her voice appeared briefly in the second episode of Season 2.
The wait is now over for fans to witness Megan put her acting skills from Good Girls and the forthcoming F***ing Identical Twins to good use in her alter ego role. She may or may not remain around after “Snow,” but her presence will be much appreciated if she does. When the penultimate episode of P-second Valley’s season airs on Sunday, snow will finally cover The Pynk.
