Stargirl’s return to The CW later this month is one of the few bright spots for DC fans as the DC Universe continues to deteriorate on the big and small screens. The 1st trailer for Season 3 of the show based on the Justice Society of America has just been published. Now we have our first poster that hints at our favourite superheroes and villains teaming up. Brec Bassinger, who plays Stargirl, is seen dressed to the nines in front of a slew of vintage televisions. The series’ protagonists or antagonists may be seen on each screen. They include Hourman (Cameron Gellman), Doctor Mid-Nite (Anjelika Washington) and Wildcat (Yvette Monreal), Joel McHale (Starman) and Cindy Burman (Meg DeLacy).
The colours on this poster are substantially more subdued than those used in earlier prints, with the exception of Stargirl. Another gloomy turn in the story may be hinted at by this hazy orange/brown colour. It may also shed light on the season’s primary villain. The town of Blue Valley looks to be under observation from this poster, even if we don’t know who they are. Additionally, the tagline of the game is, “Keep Your Friends Close and Your Frenemies Closer.” This season’s debut teaser shows that Courtney will be adopted by Starman, and we’ll get a glimpse of Blue Valley and the JSA working together.
Considering the season’s tagline is “Frenemies,” the latest discovery is sure to inflame feelings among JSA members like Wildcat and Starman even more. Seeing if these villains like Cindy, who has been attempting to murder Courtney for the previous two seasons, have truly come to their senses or if it’s all an act to serve the primary new danger in any manner is going to be extremely intriguing to watch. For whatever reason, Stargirl has been one of the most underappreciated superhero series on the market in its first two seasons of existence.
Comic book aficionados should tune in to this show for any number of reasons, including its infectiously cheerful ensemble, brilliant writing, and well-executed action. Although numerous CW series has earned a terrible name over the years, Stargirl is one of the greatest because it manages to strike the perfect mix between heartfelt drama and darker undertones while also providing enough of action-packed superhero excitement.
It appears like Season 3 is going to be even better than Season 2. For Stargirl to escape WB’s slaughter, this season needs to be powerful enough. Before Season 3 launches on August 31, you can also watch the first two seasons on HBO Max.
