Get ready for yet another terrifying film to add to your collection. Bad Connection, an indie horror film, will be produced by production firm The Ninth House. Dana Davis (Prom Night, The Morning Show, The Rookie) and Chris Gann (The Rookie) will appear in the film (For all Mankind, The Valet). The Osbrink Agency represents Davis and the Media Artists Group represents Gann. Bradley Garrett, Esq. serves as the ninth house’s legal counsel.
When a waitress (Davis) gets a new cell phone, she finds it has a snuff film on it, and the tale of Bad Connection follows her discovery.
A psychopath (Gann) who would do everything to get his hands on that footage, including killing everything and everyone in his path, eventually has her in his sights. To round out the cast of Bad Connection, which also includes Camila Banus (Days of Our Lives) Orel De La Mota (Minx), and Courtney Halverson (Unfriends) (Mischief Night). List of a Lifetime, starring Kelly Hu, Sylvia Kwan, and Shannon Doherty, was just nominated for a Hollywood Critics Association Award for Best Broadcast Network or Cable Live-Action TV Movie and received a 2022 Critics Choice Award nomination from The Ninth House’s past independent films. The Ninth House has also worked on The Bodyguard, Whose Child, and A Country Christmas Harmony, among others.
A Christmas & Postre, a Latinx-led holiday film now in post-production, will join Bad Connection as an upcoming project. The Ninth House’s second horror project will be Bad Connection. Tow, starring Kane Hodder and Caitlin Gerard, will be streaming on Tubi with this release. Bad Connection’s producers are all members of The Ninth House, with Autumn Federici, Deon Richmond, and Jake Helgren leading the charge. As well as serving as co-writer and co-director, Helgren collaborates with Stephen Wells on the project.
Vanessa Shapiro, Michael Madnick, and Tim Stearns will serve as executive producers for Bad Connection.
There is no set release date or trailer for The Ninth House’s Bad Connection. This new horror film, Bad Connection, follows a waitress (Dana Davis) who uncovers a snuff film on the stolen mobile phone she purchased, and is starring in the movie. A meticulous maniac, portrayed by Chris Gann (For All Mankind, The Valet), is hellbent on regaining it, and he’ll do everything to achieve it.
