Ben Affleck is going to assume the Batman costume once more. Jason Momoa, who played Arthur Curry in the first Aquaman movie, has stated that Ben Affleck will reprise his role as Batman aka Bruce Wayne in the upcoming sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Momoa broke the news to fans when they discovered that Affleck was working on site during a Warner Bros. studio tour.
He posted a picture on Instagram of them together along with the caption, “REUNITED Bruce and Arthur.” “WB studio tours, with love and miss you, Ben I have just finished exploring the backlot. Accidentally caught on set all the amazing stuff that will be in AQUAMAN 2 all my love, J.” After having played the part in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Justice League, Affleck will reprise his role as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming film Aquaman. Affleck will also portray the role in The Flash, which is scheduled to be released in theatres on June 23, 2023.
In this film, Affleck’s version of the superhero will be working alongside Michael Keaton.
Affleck has indicated earlier in 2019 that this will be his final year performing the role of Batman. He withdrew from a standalone Batman movie, in which he had been slated to play Batman and co-write the script at one time.
Instead, we got The Batman, which is not part of the continuity of the DC Extended Universe and was directed by Matt Reeves. Robert Pattinson starred in the film. It has not been disclosed what exactly Affleck will be doing in his cameo appearance in Aquaman 2, as of yet. The sequel to “Aquaman,” which was released in 2018, has not yet provided many specifics.
It is known, while, that Momoa will reprise his role as Arthur Curry among other returning cast members like Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman. The movie will be made available to the public on March 17, 2023, and James Wan will serve as the director.
