There’s a new teaser for Showtime’s forthcoming vampire thriller Let the Right One In, and it’s quite horrifying. On October 7, the series will be available for streaming, just in time for the Halloween season. This teaser starts out with an opening sight of a young girl who has blood on her lips. “We only survive by knowing when to escape,” says Demián Bichir’s character over a montage depicting a body being dropped into a river. Next, we see hands emerging from a suitcase and naked feet treading on shattered glass in the trailer.
A youngster tries to teach her something and the little girl, who now looks to have fangs, attempts to bite his neck. After that, we see a person on fire by a lake in the trailer. A figure tells the girl, “The creature that bit you is thousands of years old.” The video then cuts to a montage showing a hand slicing through a wall and blood gushing from a character’s arm. The guy at the conclusion of the trailer says, “Find the host The remedy is good, too “and ends with a bite to the neck of someone. At least 10 episodes are planned for the series, which has an intriguing idea that is teased in the teaser.
The series also takes the vampire genre in a new way by focusing on a child as the vampire of the narrative, which adds to the emotional intensity as her family grapples with the situation. The series is based on the critically acclaimed 2008 Swedish film of the same name. Let the Right One In, when it premieres on Showtime later this year, has the potential to be an intriguing new addition to the vampire genre, but it’s unclear how loyal the new series will be to the original plot. As the showrunner, executive producer, and writer, Andrew Hinderaker, well known for his work on Penny Dreadful, will take the reins on this new series. Let the Right One In co-executive producers Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Alissa Bachner include Seith Mann as a director and co-executive producer. Anika Noni Rose (Power), Grace Gummer (Mr Robot), Madison Taylor Baez (Selena: The Series), Ian Foreman (Merry Wish-Mas), Jacob Buster (Colony, Snowfall) and Nick Stahl (Fear the Walking Dead) are among the cast members.
The premiere of Showtime’s Let the Right One In will take place on October 7th.
