Marvel Studios has announced a release date for the next Avengers: Secret Wars film

At the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios unveiled two new Avengers films, the first of which is Avengers: Secret Wars, which will conclude Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in November 2025. Inspired by the legendary comic series of the same name, a multiverse conflict between variations of beloved heroes and villains is predicted in the movie. Between 1984 and 1985, Secret Wars was published by Jim Shooter and Mike Zeck and Bob Layton. The Beyonder, a villain in the plot, kidnaps a slew of heroes and villains and transports them to the land of Battleworld. The Beyonder, a multidimensional enemy, wants to know which Marvel character is the most strong, so he has Marvel’s augmented characters battle each other for his enjoyment.

While we know a lot about the Secret Wars plot in the MCU, it is reasonable to presume that the movie will not involve the Beyonder. Instead, it appears that Kang the Conquerer, played by Jonathan Majors, will be the driving force behind the crossover. As a sequel to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Avengers: Secret Wars will be published in the same year. Both films are anticipated to wrap off Phase 6 of the new MCU storyline, which has been dubbed “The Multiverse Saga.” Numerous Phase 4 films and television episodes, such as Loki, Spider-Man: No Way Home, What If..?, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, are all part of the “Multiverse Saga,” which alludes to the notion of multiple universes and different histories.

Each of these shows demonstrated the presence of numerous worlds, each of which has an endless number of heroes and villains to be discovered and fought against. That’s why it appears Marvel Studios is gearing up for a Secret Wars-style plot in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with Kang poised to be a prominent villain. Marvel Studios revealed at SDCC that Phase 4 would conclude with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, even if Avengers: Secret Wars is still many years away. As a result, the MCU will increase up speed as the components begin to fit together.

Additionally, Marvel Studios has unveiled the whole Phase 5 calendar, which will include a new Daredevil series as well as Blade and Thunderbolts in 2024. On May 2, 2025, Marvel Studios will release Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in cinemas. On November 7, 2025, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Secret Wars will be released, just a few months later.
