After Chifuyu and Hanma interrupted Takemichi and Mikey’s encounter in the previous chapter, fans eagerly awaited Tokyo Revengers Chapter 262 to see how the battle, which many believe would be the series’ ultimate showdown, would play out. In spite of this, Mikey’s Dark Impulses were once again exposed in this chapter, making it even more mysterious. Wakui has shown his readers that he plans such chapters to further complicate the mystery surrounding Mikey’s dark impulses, but Tokyo Revengers Chapter 262 was not only abrupt and unclear but readers are also frustrated with not having a proper explanation for this fabled darkness of Manjiro Sano. Wakui.
Spoilers for the 262nd chapter of Tokyo Revengers.
Towards the end of the book, Takemichi revealed to Mikey the events that had sent him back to the past in an effort to save the latter. An unprepared Taiju was taken out by Sanzu and Takemichi was yelled at for not completing Mikey’s slide into darkness as it had been predetermined for him as a youngster. They were joined by Hanma, who teased Takemichi by saying that he was the last one remaining. Chifuyu rushed to the rescue of his buddy at the last minute. Despite Hanma’s dominance, Chifuyu expressed guilt for having abandoned his comrade and swore to stand by Takemichi in the face of Mikey and the other two in the future.
As a result of Chifuyu’s plea, Chifuyu Matsuno continues his remarks from the previous chapter in Tokyo Revengers Chapter 262, challenging Kantou Manji Gang to a duel. As a result of Mitsuya’s statement, the rest of Toman’s captains get to their feet. Chifuyu’s perseverance is praised by Inui and Kokonoi, while Senju vows to quit procrastinating. As Peh-Yan and Pah-Chin recover consciousness, they appear together. Injured members of the Mizo Middle Five and the Kawata Twins are also dragged into the battle. When Taiju, accompanied by his brother Hakkai and bearing the Toman banner, comes, Sanzu is left regretting that he was unable to defeat him. Mikey gets irritated by the chanting of Toman’s members. To Takemichi’s astonishment, Mikey’s Dark Impulses are clearly seen in his head as he walks up to the latter.
Similar to his knockdown of Takemichi in the Three Deities Arc, Mikey this time uses his fist to take him down. Chifuyu is left speechless as a result of the attack, which delights Sanzu. Sanzu, on the other hand, is quickly knocked down by Mikey. To Mikey’s horror, when Hanma argues that Sanzu is an ally, the latter also knocks out. Astounding to Mitsuya, Mikey doesn’t seem to differentiate between pals and foes. The rest of the Kantou and Toman members, as well as Inui, Mitsuya, the Shiba brothers, the Kawata twins, and everyone else, are wiped out by Mikey’s vengeance. Chapter 262 of Tokyo Revengers finishes with Mikey on the battlefield, everyone else unconscious, and the entire town in ruins. To set up the climactic showdown between Mikey and Takemichi, Tokyo Revengers Chapter 262 served as a sort of prelude, with a few battles involving other notable characters thrown in.
With Hanma and Sanzu finally reunited, there was much hope that the enigma of the Time-Leapers would be solved. As a result of this, Wakui’s last issue was one of the most puzzling ever, with no preface or logical progression to Mikey’s actions whatsoever. As a matter of fact, Wakui has done everything he can to convince readers that Mikey’s acts either defy logic or follow a path of reasoning that only Mikey understands. With only one arc remaining, fans are expecting the Dark Impulses’ origin to be disclosed rather than left a mystery.
The Dark Impulses in Tokyo Revengers Chapter 262 are presented as both a psychological issue and a physical transformation, which causes some perplexity among readers. Many people believe that Mikey from the future and Mikey from the past are two distinct individuals, and that Dark impulse is Mikey from the future taking over the current Mikey. Despite its absurdity, given the little information accessible to readers, the hypothesis does not appear out of the realm of possibility. It’s interesting to note that Mikey doesn’t appear to beat Kokonoi or Senju, although it’s unclear if this omission was made intentionally or not. According to popular belief, Senju is immune to Mikey’s fury because of her relationship with him in the past. This does not mean that Kokonoi will be secure from Mikey’s attacks, though, until fresh information comes to light.
