Season 2 of “Your Honor” will feature Assistant U.S. Attorney Rosie Perez, Release Date & More

The Showtime legal drama Your Honor has added a few new faces to its cast. According to Deadline, Now and Then star Rosie Perez has agreed to join the show’s second season. A “charismatic” assistant U.S. attorney called Olivia Delmont works with a reluctant asset to bring down a New Orleans crime organisation. The Oscar-nominated actress will play Olivia Delmont. Andrene Ward-Hammond (Manifest) has been upgraded to series regular for the forthcoming season in addition to Perez’s casting.

Big Mo was a character played by Hammond in the first season. Emmy winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) plays Michael Desiato, a New Orleans judge whose adolescent son’s involvement in a hit-and-run leads to “a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and hard decisions,” according to the official logline. Your Honor is an adaptation of the 2017 Israeli series Kvodo. Your Honor, which was originally intended to be a one-season special, premiered in December of that year.

The programme was renewed for a second season after its first season was the most profitable in Showtime’s history, with Cranston returning to reprise his role. Perez also starred as Megan Briscoe with Kaley Cuoco in the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant before joining Your Honor. Netflix’s Big Mouth spin-off Human Resources and Maya & the Three are among her other recent television appearances. While her parts in Do the Right Thing, White Men Can’t Jump, and Birds of Prey have garnered some of her most acclaims, Perez is best recognised for her work in other films.

Earlier this month, Cranston indicated that the show’s second season will be its final one. Showtime has yet to comment on Cranston’s revelation. Perez joins the cast as a result of Cranston’s announcement. Season 1 writer Joey Hartstone has apparently taken over as showrunner after Peter Moffat, who served as the showrunner for the first season, decided not to return. Your Honor has also reportedly changed showrunners. Also in Your Honor’s cast are Hope Davis, Carmen Ejogo, Hunter Doohan, Sofia Black-D’Elia, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Rookie). Robert and Michelle King (from The Good Fight and The Good Wife) are co-executive producers, along with Cranston (The Good Fight, Evil). It’s presently filming the second and last season of Your Honor. There’s no word yet on when the film will be released.
