The Jennifer Lawrence-starrer “No Hard Feelings” scheduled release date summer of 2023: Everything you need to know

The release date for Jennifer Lawrence’s next starring role in No Hard Feelings has been determined by Columbia Pictures. Producer Gene Stupnitsky and co-writer John Phillips are working on the picture, which is now in development. A release date has been set on June 16th, 2023, and the picture is being billed as “an R-rated comedy with heart.” It’s not clear what the film’s specifics are, although recent reports indicate that a number of companies were interested. A substantial deal that just barely trumped the other suitors that were in hot chase led to the film’s acquisition by Sony Pictures in 2021, according to Deadline.

It was a significant draw for streaming services, which were eager to cash in on Lawrence’s star power and the experience of the film’s creative team. Another factor in Sony’s favour was the company’s pledge to see the film with Stupnitsky and Phillips. Stupnitsky and Phillips would be excellent for the picture No Hard Feelings. With Good Boys and Bad Grandpa, they’ve had some of the most relevant prior work in the edgy comedy genre. After writing and directing the Cameron Diaz-starrer Bad Teacher, which went on to acquire its own television series and was set for a sequel, Stupnitsky made his feature film directorial debut with Good Boys.

Both Stupnitsky and Phillips have been out of action since 2019, so this will be their first appearance on the big screen with one of the most productive modern actresses in tow. Since her role as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games trilogy in the 2010s, Lawrence’s career has taken off. She moved from Monk, Medium, and The Bill Engvall Show to a household celebrity in a matter of months thanks to the success of those flicks at the box office.

As the X-Men films progressed, she joined forces with Adam McKay for Don’t Look Up and his upcoming picture Bad Blood, which is now in preproduction. Silver Linings Playbook, Joy, Winter’s Bone, and American Hustle were all nominated for Best Actress at the 86th Academy Awards. As well as co-starring in and producing No Hard Feelings, Lawrence will join Alex Saks, Marc Provissiero, Naomi Odenkirk, and Justine Polsky in their respective roles. At this moment, Phillips is the only executive producer on board.
A 2023 release date has been set for No Hard Feelings.
