The New Adopting Audrey teaser has been published by Vertical Entertainment today… The film stars Jena Malone (The Hunger Games film series) as the titular heroine… Malone is a little older than the typical youngster that is put up for adoption, but that’s part of the story’s premise: The plot is around a mature lady who decides to give herself up for adoption. In late August, the film will be released.
According to the teaser for Adopting Audrey, like other Millenials, Audrey has no idea where her life will take her in the future. As a result, she’s unsatisfactory at her profession, has a hard time sticking with one location for a long, and is unsociable.
For someone who lacks perspective, adoption appears like a better alternative than doing nothing. That, of course, appears to be working out for her! That Audrey’s notion of finding an adoptive family succeeds is also hinted at in the teaser, as is the fact that she strikes an unexpected friendship with her new family’s patriarch. Looks like they’ll have a pleasant (for us) relationship to watch, and it looks like they’ll learn a few things from one another from the trailer.
M. Cahill is the director of Adopting Audrey. A late sequel to the director’s first, King of California (2007), which featured Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood and dealt with a similar theme of a young woman’s feelings for an older guy. King of California was released in 2007. In the same way that he penned the script for his debut, Cahill also produces the film with Malone, who serves as executive producer. Confirmation of this truth was made in an official statement by Cahill, who said that the film’s idea was inspired by a genuine incident.
An adult lady I met a few years ago decided to give herself up for adoption and find a new family.” After spending more time together, I realised that her story deserved to be told. The film and its concepts have connected with Vertical, and we’re glad for that. With these people, “We couldn’t have asked for a finer team.” There’s also Emily Kuroda (from Gilmore Girls), Will Rogers (from Dispatches From Elsewhere), Robert Hunger-Bühler (Orpheline), and Brooke Bloom (from Gilmore Girls) in the cast (I Know What You Did Last Summer series). In cinemas on August 26, Adopting Audrey debuts.
