Any Thor: Love and Thunder post-credits moments to look forward to? You’ve arrived at the correct location. Taika Waititi’s next Marvel film has two additional tags following Thor 4’s shockingly short length, and they both have significant consequences for the MCU’s future. To put it another way, don’t miss them. You’re planning a bathroom break and wondering when these scenes will appear. We’ll go into more detail on the two post-credits scenes in the sections that follow. After the spoiler warning, we have a spoiler section for those of you who are already back home and want to know more about what occurred (and we don’t blame you). Here’s all you want to know about the post-credits sequences in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Is there a limit to how many post-credits sequences in Thor: Love and Thunder?
There are two post-credits sequences in the film Thor: Love and Thunder. It’s the first one following the stylised end credits, which include all of the big names and appearances in the movie’s history. After the final credits have rolled, the second scene appears around four minutes later. After a long wait, you’ll get your reward. This isn’t some bizarre meta-joke as in Doctor Strange 2’s post-credits scene.
The interesting thing now is figuring out what all of this means. The post-credits segments are worth a closer look if you’ve previously seen the film. But beware, as we explore MAJOR Thor: Love and Thunder narrative points from now on, we’ll be entering spoiler zone.
Explanation of the Thor: Love and Thunder post-credits sequences
Are you still with us? Thor 4’s post-credits scenes have been viewed by you, so congratulations! We could go on and on. As soon as the main styled credits have finished playing, we get our first look. Russell Crowe’s Zeus survived Thor’s Lightning Bolt strike – and he’s looking to get back at him for it. Back in Omnipotence City, Zeus is being pampered by his personal staff. On camera, he rants about how superheroes are the new gods while being treated for a wound. I feel like I used to mean something when I was a God, “he muses. It’s as though people are saying, “When did we become a joke?” Before the camera focuses on the person he’s speaking to, he makes a promise to teach them a lesson. This is our first look at Hercules decked out in his glorious golden armour. When Thor debated who would be at Omnipotence City with Korg, Jane, and Valkyrie, the hero was named.
However, here is the first look at Brett Goldstein’s new MCU character. Marvel and Waititi kept the casting of Ted Lasso star Goldstein a secret because it hadn’t been previously publicised. His presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still unclear, although he appears to have a significant future. In the wake of Zeus’ retribution against Thor, Hercules is expected to come face-to-face with him. Kevin Feige has explored the possibility of a fifth Thor film, in which this may take place. The Marvel comics feature Hercules frequently. Zeus’ son Hercules is the inspiration for this character, who has a similar origin to Zeus’ son Hercules in Greek mythology. So, as an Olympian God, he possesses all of the typical powers, including as superhuman strength and durability as well as superhuman speed, reflexes and endurance.
Since 1964, he is a member of the Avengers team, and in the late 1990s and early 2010s, he starred in his own limited series. Hercules, on the other hand, is most known for his appearances in Thor comics, where he serves as the god’s right-hand man. There’s a great chance that the MCU will use Goldstein’s depiction of the character as a villain. If Feige or any of the performers divulge more about his position in the MCU, we’ll have to wait to find out. Finally, there is a second post-credits sequence to be seen. Jane, Natalie Portman’s character, died in Thor’s arms and ended up in Valhalla. When she enters the afterlife, she is hailed by Heimdall, the guardian of the gates (Idris Elba). On the other side of the room, he praises her for her aid in taking care of his kid Astrid – or Axl, in his preferred name – while she watches on. After a long fight with illness, it’s nice to see Portman’s Jane come to an end in such a peaceful way. (If you’re curious about who else died in Thor: Love and Thunder, check out our list of everyone who died.)
It’s unclear if Portman’s Foster will appear again in the future. The door is wide open for her to make an appearance through visions or experiences from the afterlife. An appropriate farewell to one of the MCU’s most popular characters. Heimdall’s presence is also welcome. At the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos murdered Elba’s gatekeeper, and we haven’t seen him since. We receive a little something more at the end of the movie. “Thor will return” has been revealed following the conclusion of the Valhalla sequence. We don’t know anything else about this, but it’s a strong hint that Chris Hemsworth will return to play the God of Thunder in a future Thor film.
