Clark Kent and Lex Luthor have reunited for a podcast this time. The TalkVille podcast, hosted by Smallville’s Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum, has a release date. On Wednesday, July 13, Cumulus Media is launching a new podcast, with new episodes being released every Wednesday. Those who need to listen can do so on the TalkVille website as well as on several other platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and YouTube. Welling and Rosenbaum present the Smallville revisit podcast TalkVille. Re-watching an episode of Smallville and sharing behind-the-scenes facts about it will be the main focus of the show’s weekly podcasts. The two have set up a hotline so that they may communicate with one other and with the public.
Any ideas, concerns, or criticisms about Smallville may be directed to Rosenbaum and Welling through the show’s phone line. Rosenbaum’s second podcast, after Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, will be on TalkVille in the coming months. Since Smallville’s final season on The WB/The CW, the podcast has been in the works. It aired for a total of ten years and over two hundred episodes. Clark Kent (Welling), a teenager with superpowers, grows up in Smallville, Kansas, the setting for the series.
The fact that Clark is from a different planet makes it impossible for him to fit in with the people he’s around. While he was growing up in Smallville, Clark learned about his talents, his background, and how to defend those he cared about while dealing with the pressures of high school. Clark befriends Lex Luthor (Rosenbaum), who is determined to discover why Clark appears to be so different from the rest of the population. He responded, “I’m pleased we can finally do this!” when asked about the podcast in a statement. In the coming weeks, I want to rewatch ‘Smallville,’ share my memories, and offer new perspectives gained from my time there. “Smallville” was “one of the most popular programmes on television, and it’s the most successful thing I’ve ever been a part of,” Rosenbaum said. It’s like travelling back in time with Tom when we rewatch these old episodes… This is my happiest spot.”
Lana, Jonathan Kent, and Lois Lane (Eric Durance, Annette O’Toole), together with John Glover as Lionel Luthor, appeared in Smallville with Kristin Kreuk. Many new characters also made their debut during this time, such as Zod (Callum Blue), Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Justin Hartley), and Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort). Alfred Gough and Miles Millar came up with the concept for the programme.
To catch up on all of Smallville’s seasons, you can now do it on Hulu.
