Season 4 of ‘Sex Education’: Patricia Allison will not be returning

In July 2022, Netflix’s critically acclaimed coming-of-age comedy-drama Sex Education will begin production on its fourth season. Ola (Patricia Allison), the pansexual daughter of Jakob (Mikael Persbrandt), will not be returning. Capital Xtra anchors Yinka Bokinni and Shayna Marie stated that the 27-year-old actress will not be returning for season four. Allison’s role at Moordale Secondary School has had a spectacular journey thus far since she joined Netflix’s comedy-drama halfway through Season 1 in 2019. When Otis’ mother, Jean (Gillian Anderson), began seeing Ola’s father, things got tricky for Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield).

Ola went on with Lily Iglehart (Tanya Reynolds) after their split, despite Lily’s extraterrestrial obsession and fondness for role-playing. At the same time as Lily and her father Jakob got Jean pregnant, Ola was going through her own growth in Sex Education last season. After Allison said she would not be returning for season four, host Yinka branded the discovery “an outrage.” “Unfortunately, I won’t be joining the team for season four,” Allison confessed, adding that she made the choice so she could pursue “some other minor things.” Allison has liked being on Sex Education and playing Ola.

Other projects are on the horizon, but it was a difficult choice for the actress to begin with. Although she is officially leaving the set, she also claimed she has come to adore portraying her character for three years. “I’m a big fan of the programme. I’ll have to say goodbye at some point, I’m sure of it. However, there will be more to come! Adding to the excitement, more things are on the horizon. Allison tacked on.

Both Allison and Olivia Hanan (Simone Ashley) have said they would not be returning for Season 4 of Sex Education because to their work obligations on the successful television show Bridgerton. Other Sex Education stars, aside from Allison and Ashley, are all getting greater recognition. Doctor Who’s fourteenth Doctor will be played by Ncuti Gatwa, while Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie will feature Emma Mackey.

As well as Connor Swindells and Aimee Lou Wood in their Sex Education roles, the cast also includes Kedar Williams-Stirling and Mimi Keene as well as Dua Saleh and Sami Outalbali. Season 4 of Sex Education has not yet been released.
