It will be revealed in My Hero Academia Chapter 357 if Horikoshi intends to hurry through the AFO combat. It seems pointless for the demon lord to return after having his mask destroyed twice, as the heroes have already dealt with him twice. As a result, the heroes have only a few tricks left in the bag, and half of their assault force is critically damaged. As a result, the conflict is at a standstill in this chapter.
My Hero Academia fans, on the other hand, await more information about Endeavor in Chapter 357.
In the last few chapters, Horikoshi has been more gentle in his exploration of the Flame Hero’s mind than in prior arcs. So far, there has been some disagreement over this approach, but it has been executed really well, and the next chapter should bring it all together. Chapter 356 Summary
Tokoyami attempted to complete destroying AFO’s mask with his new assault in Chapter 356, titled “Regarding the Enemy,” after being encouraged by Jirou. When AFO realised that his vestiges had slowed down his reflexes, he swallowed the consciousnesses of his stolen quirk to reclaim control of his body and mind, Hawks rushed to Tokoyami’s defence as he slashed at the three heroes with countless blades. It was only when Endeavor returned to the battlefield that the blades cut off his right arm. AFO’s mask was also repaired thanks to the blades.
Endeavor had a vision of his younger self, who reminded him of the origin of his hero moniker while he lay unconscious on the ground. After witnessing his father die while attempting to save a little girl, he decided to take on the moniker “Hard Work” in honour of his hero.
His younger self reminded him that Enji had always been less than superhuman and that he should embrace this weakness since it motivated him to accomplish what needed to be done. In the present, Endeavor acknowledged that he had to win the battle and that he would gladly utilise his frailty to do so. Endeavor shattered AFO’s mask with another blow, this time using a fire-forged arm to replace his severed one. To halt the bleeding, he cauterised his arm and the incision on his side.
Expectations for My Hero Academia Chapter 357
My Hero Academia Chapter 357 is expected to be the culmination of Endeavor’s character arc built up by Horikoshi for a long time. For the readers, it has been a difficult road, but the revelation of Endeavor’s beginnings helped to explain his ambition and drive, and most crucially, his shift in attitude over the past several years. Even if Endeavor has cauterised his wounds, he is still very much in need of medical attention. Jirou is critically injured, and Tokoyami observed that Hawks lack the capacity to penetrate AFO’s defences.
Tokoyami and the Flame Hero would be the primary targets for the ensuing offensive if AFO manages to overcome the damage that Endeavor just delivered to him. This time, AFO’s mask won’t be able to be put back together. In My Hero Academia Chapter 357, the fight will be heavily in favour of the heroes if he is unable to do so. The fight with one of the series’ two big antagonists ended quickly, but Horikoshi has a time constraint on himself and has kept most of the climactic bouts very short, so it’s not unusual. All for One is likely to be a more difficult battle for readers to follow.
