In Boruto Chapter 69, a new twist in the Code storyline was introduced. Once and for all, the heroes had evidence of Eida’s existence. Her look and unknown power of hers made Delta fall in love with her, leaving her creator Amado shuddering as Code dug his claws into him. What precisely does Shikamaru want to do now that he’s face-to-face with Eida? Konoha’s shinobi were given some breathing room in the past two chapters, but unless Shikamaru can bluff his way out, the stalemate is likely to continue in this chapter. Kawaki has woken up and Boruto, Naruto and Sasuke are on their way to Amado’s laboratory as fast as they can now.

What can you anticipate in Chapter 70?
As soon as Eida walked through the door, even the irate robot Delta was dissuaded from assaulting. Several key facts about Code’s benefactor were also revealed: she’s infatuated with Kawaki and doesn’t want him to be hurt, and she has a special ability outside of her control that neutralises anyone intending to harm her and either makes them infatuated with her or causes various symptoms like headaches and high blood pressure.
It’s up to Code whether or not he abides by her instructions. Boruto receives an apology from his mentor, Sasuke, who claims to have failed in his role as a mentor by not being there for his charges. In the eyes of many fans, this means Sasuke will die at some point in the future. This is unlikely to occur in this chapter, given how far into the future we’ve projected it to be.
If we combine this with Mitsuki and Sarada saying that they must become stronger if they are going to help Boruto defeat these formidable opponents, and a Mitsuki teasing Sarada about liking Boruto, it is obvious that both Boruto and Sasuke will reach this point, which will inevitably lead to some tension between them. Talking about fallout tension, Naruto and Kawaki also freely discussed the fact that Boruto’s death saved their lives in front of Sumire.
That everyone in the Leaf is a part of his family was emphasised by Naruto before he had to depart because of Ino’s summons. Lord Seventh, who is known for his speed, is likely to arrive first and confront a stymied Ino. Now we can finally address the most pressing issue on everyone’s mind: What’s Shikamaru going to do in the future? He is possessed by the shadow of himself. Code is attempting to convince Amado to remove his limiters since Jutstu wore off on Code, Delta is down, and he’s the only one in the room with Eida.
He appears in control of his mental faculties, and he knows better than to let anyone in and risk becoming ensnared, but he’s forced to stall, bluff or try to talk his way out of this deadly scenario by attempting to lure Eida to join Konoha in return for access to Kawaki. For anyone who has followed our show for any length of time, it’s clear that chatting is an excellent way to defuse tensions or delay a problem.
Eida will have to be broken into and the others will have to pray that they can survive her talents and charms if this method fails. That, or Shikamaru is playing a lengthy game and he’s making it up as he goes along. Either way, it’s a mystery. What matters is that we’ll all have to wait and watch how this tense standoff turns out.
