This weekend marks the long-awaited release of One Piece Episode 1016, which includes the continuation of the Onigashima Raid’s Roof Piece segment. This segment of the tale has long been a favourite of manga readers, and now it will be available to anime watchers as well. About two weeks ago, the show aired Episode 1015, which many fans thought was one of, if not the finest, in the series thus far.
Hopefully, One Piece Episode 1016 will continue with the same amount of excellence when the battle between the Worst Generation and the Yonk begins.

Spoilers for One Piece Episode 1016
All or almost all of Chapter 1001 will be covered in One Piece Episode 1016. Yonko vs. Worst Generation will most likely continue, and in a spectacular way no less, this time around. A large portion of the future episode will likely be devoted to the conflict between the two factions, as this chapter is heavily focused on their conflict. Almost all of the members of the Worst Generation are present, and the three captains, in particular, steal the show several times.
Even if the next episode doesn’t have the same emotional impact as the previous one, viewers should expect to be just as interested. Hopefully, the entire show will be devoted to the two sides’ conflict, which will eventually commence. It’s possible, though, that the anime won’t adapt the full episode but will instead incorporate anime-only moments. The scenes presented in the episode teaser haven’t revealed this, but it’s absolutely plausible.
Yamato and Momonosuke are the most probable characters to feature in the additional sequences, although the Live Floor might also be included. A third possibility would be to expand on Sanji’s problems, which would be more plausible than the other two. It’s possible that the 1016 episode of One Piece might jump forward to the next chapter. The One Piece anime has done this before, most notably during the Wano arc, and it’s not exactly standard procedure.
Episode 1016 of One Piece is expected to follow up on what many consider the finest episode in the series’ history. The ideal way to approach this would be to display simply the beginning of the Skull Dome Rooftop combat as it is completely adapted in Chapter 1001. In the next chapters, Roof Piece takes the Onigashima Raid to a new level of intensity. If the manga is any indication, the anime should be able to capture that same thrill.
