Dragon Ball Super fans are still waiting for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero to hit theatres after the film was delayed due to a hack on the Toei Animation website, but the next volume of the manga series by Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou is expected to be released before the highly anticipated film.
A leaked chapter from Dragon Ball Super Chapter 83 has surfaced on Twitter, purporting to be from the upcoming chapter. The chapter is expected to continue the Granolah the Survivor arc and reveal how the fight between the villainous Gas and Goku’s father, Bardock, unfolded forty years ago in Planet Cereal.
In reality, it was an April Fools’ joke, and the image was still from Naho Ooishi’s Episode of Bardock manga, which was used as the backdrop. The likelihood that Bardock’s Super Saiyan form would be unveiled in its entirety in the next chapter should not be ruled out. Following up on the previous chapter of Dragon Ball Super, titled Bardock vs. Gas, which saw Gas flying through space on his way back to planet Cereal, a flashback from forty years ago reveals even more of what happened on the same planet, providing us with a continuation of Bardock’s battle against Gas.
Eventually, we’ll learn how their struggle ended up being resolved. There haven’t been any official previews for Dragon Ball Super Chapter 83 available as of this writing, but fans can anticipate Goku and Gas to continue their fight when the heroic Saiyan discovers what happened during his father’s battle forty years ago. Anime fans may look forward to the release of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 83 on April 20.
