Thanks to the genre’s wealth of engaging and visually appealing animated programmes, anime is alive and well today. For example, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” has already broken several box office records, while “Jujutsu Kaisen’s” blend of classic shonen action with the supernatural has arguably made it a must-see series. We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention “Fire Force,” whose unique perspective on a group of firemen and the notion of spontaneous combustion has contributed to the show’s well-deserved popularity.
Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic with the ability to start a fire with his feet, is the protagonist of the series, which is based on a manga by Atsushi Kubo, the writer of “Soul Eater.” Shinra joins forces with Special Fire Force Company 8, a troop of pyrokinetics, to fight Infernals, who are humans who have been transformed into living blazes by spontaneous combustion. The second season of “Fire Force” finished in December 2020, and it soon rose to the top five most-watched anime series on Amazon Prime Japan (Via Anime News Network). The hit show’s fans have been begging for a third season, so here’s everything we know about Season 3 of “Fire Force.”
Release Date for Season 3 of Fire Force
Season 3 of “Fire Force” has yet to be confirmed or given an official release date. Given the show’s success and manga sales, there’s reason to assume a second season of the series is in the works, with an announcement coming shortly.
According to the official “Fire Force” Anime Twitter account, the manga had sold over 15 million copies by late April. Based on its ratings, the show is clearly successful enough to warrant a second season. The manga will be finished shortly, according to Atsushi Kubo, postponing the debut of a new anime season. In an interview with Monsters And Critics, Okubo stated that he planned for the manga to conclude around volume 30, although that might change.
According to Anime News Network, Okubo stated in the manga’s 23rd volume that the narrative was coming to an end and that “Fire Force” will be his final work. Given that there have been 28 volumes published thus far, there may be a slight delay in determining when the manga will conclude. While a late-2021 release is possible, it is more probable that a formal announcement will be made later in the year, with a 2022 release date.
Season 3 of Fire Force’s cast?
Season 3 of “Fire Force” does not yet have an official cast list. We’re expected to see the majority of the actor’s return, based on the show’s stability behind the scenes in the first two seasons. Only a few new characters were added to the roster, including Ogun Montgomery (voiced by Makoto Furukawa (Japanese) and Zeno Robinson (English) and Scop (voiced by Kentaro Ito (Japanese) and Tyler Walker (English) (English). Shinra will be played by Gakuto Kajiwara (Japanese) and Derick Snow (English) (Via Anime News Network).
Season 3 will most likely be animated by David Production, the same company that animated the first two seasons. Tatsuma Minamikawa, who took over for Yuki Yase, will direct Season 2 of “Fire Force.” Minamikawa is slated to return as director for Season 3, with Kazuhiro Miwa as a principal animator and Kenichiro Suehiro as a composer, unless otherwise specified.
Season 3 of Fire Force plot?
There is no firm narrative information for Season 3 of “Fire Force” yet. Because the anime has mostly followed the manga, we can fairly assume what Shinra’s Season 3 will include. Season 1 of the anime covers volumes 1 through 11 of the manga, Season 2 the rest of book 11 through a few chapters of volume 20, and Season 3 volume 20. Season 3 might adapt volume 20 up to the manga’s likely conclusion unless the anime series veers into filler territory like “Naruto” or “Bleach.”
The Season 2 conclusion hints at a much larger battle between Company 8 and the Evangelists in the future. Shinra’s training was pushed to a new level known as “The Press Of Death” in order for him to become stronger and fight with the Company’s more dangerous opponents. Meanwhile, the killing of Captain Hague of Company 4 in the season finale dealt a huge setback to the heroes. Because of his improved ability level, Shinra is able to create an Adolla Link, allowing him to observe Hague’s dying moments. Season 3 will very certainly begin off where Season 2 left off, with Company 8 teaming up with the Tokyo Empire to take against the Evangelist’s strong troops.
