BloodRayne: ReVamped and BloodRayne 2: ReVamped is receiving fixes for a number of technical difficulties, as well as the reinstatement of the original cheat codes, according to publisher Ziggurat Interactive. BloodRayne 1 and 2 will be re-released on PC in late 2020, with 4K resolution, gamepad support, reprocessed lighting, better effects, upscaled cutscenes, and a variety of audio and text translation choices available. BloodRayne, a hack-and-slash action-adventure game first released in 2002, features half-vampire Rayne as she battles Nazis enamoured with the occult and otherworldly monsters in the 1930s.
Elaborate blood and gore and brutal gaming mechanisms including an extensive dismemberment system and the ability to eat enemies to re-generate made the series stand out from other titles in the genre at the time. BloodRayne: Betrayal, a side-scrolling platform game, was launched on seventh generation consoles and received a remaster in 2021 by Ziggurat Interactive. The game garnered a good reaction from critics and fans alike for its enhanced gore elements and moderate themes. Reportedly, the firm behind BloodRayne: ReVamped and BloodRayne 2: ReVamped is preparing to provide updates to address several technical difficulties and restore the games’ original cheat codes, as Ziggurat Interactive said in a press statement.
Both titles have been updated to include improvements for audio and visual glitches, crashes, game physics, as well as adjustments to achievements and trophies functionality. Cheat codes are included in the patch for both games, allowing players to get instant powers, unique abilities, a secret level to explore, and much more that must be used judiciously because they deactivate accomplishments. Nintendo Switch gamers may get both improved editions at a discount on the eShop until February 18, when the price expires. Ziggurat Interactive announced in 2020 that it has bought the rights to Majesco Entertainment’s vampire action-adventure series BloodRayne from Majesco Entertainment, igniting some interest in the BloodRayne property.
By working with the original developers, the publisher released upgraded versions of each instalment on PC and consoles in order to sustain the series and has since continued to do so. The chances of Rayne returning for a third BloodRayne instalment are increasing as the upgraded versions of the previous two episodes continue to be updated. With the improved Terminal Cut and ReVamped editions, gamers may experience the events and gameplay that allowed BloodRayne’s heroine to join the gaming realm.
