A police officer has taken things to a whole new level by arresting a dog for speeding in the Grand Theft Auto game. From bank heists to GTA extraterrestrial hallucinations, Rocksteady’s open-world crime genre has seen its fair share of strange pranks. GTA’s multiple plot missions and side tasks aren’t to blame for the wildest events, but rather the gamers themselves. In Grand Theft Auto 5’s multiplayer component, Grand Theft Auto Online, the storey of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin has pushed aside in favour of allowing players to roam the vast sandbox of Los Santos of their own will. Players in GTA Online have performed a variety of death-defying antics, like grabbing planes out of the sky and landing their cars on bridges after jumping off cliffs in the game’s online mode.
Iconic events like Trevor being dragged into the sky by an invisible helicopter or NPCs snatching the player’s motorbike in GTA 5 have also been a result of glitches and unexpected AI behaviour in Grand Theft Auto Online and GTA 5. Grand Theft Auto’s insane glitches don’t spare even the cops, as a GIF shared to Reddit by the user headofthehotrain shows. An officer of the law is seen pursuing a fast vehicle in this short video, eventually stopping it and forcing it to stop. An odd dog/human hybrid thing emerges when a cop opens the car door to arrest the offending driver, but it transforms into an ordinary canine as soon as it is taken out of the vehicle.
This dog was wrongly arrested and the officer should be fired for his apparent wrongdoing, according to other players in this game’s comments area. Since the release of GTA Trilogy – Definitive Edition back in November, the GTA franchise has been thrust back into the spotlight for both good and ill. The idea of re-playing classic GTA games like Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas on newer hardware excited many longtime GTA fans, but the release of GTA Trilogy – Definitive Edition was marred by a slew of visual and technical issues that ultimately led to the collection becoming a sore spot on Rockstar Games’ otherwise stellar record of triple A-level open-world games.
According to a new Rockstar release, Grand Theft Auto 6 is presently in development – a revelation that has generated more buzz than even the teaser for Avengers: Endgame did back in 2019. Grand Theft Auto 6 is a long way off, but there are plenty of bizarre quirks and anomalies in older games like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online that fans can explore in the meanwhile. An unusual police report is expected to be filed back at the station after a driver unexpectedly transforms into a dog while being arrested by the cops.
