BOTW Player reveals a simple method for making a link more secure

It’s surprisingly easy to keep Link from catching fire in Eldin’s scorching heat, according to a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild fan. While Link is constantly threatened by extreme temperatures throughout the game, the Goron area around the Legend of Zelda’s iconic Death Mountain is so hot that Link is at risk of exploding. Breath of the Wild provides the player with a variety of options for coping with these severe situations.

In Breath of the Wild, the cooking system allows players to create foods and elixirs that endow Link with temporary weather resistance, although purchasing weather resistance-enhancing clothes is a more straightforward option. Players who want to spend significant time in the land of the legendary Gorons from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past will need to equip this armour at Goron City, which may be discovered there. Reddit user Champions-Descendant has come up with an ingenious way to keep Link safe from the flames if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.

User-uploaded footage shows Link undertaking the Test of Will challenge, a side quest that requires the usage of elixirs and other protective gear to survive in the blazing heat of the world of Hyrule. The link does uses the flames with a single swing of Master Sword after dropping a chunk of ChuChu jelly at his feet. In Breath of the Wild, ChuChu jellies operate like water, and Link can’t be burned when wet. Champions-Descendant explains this. Despite the cleverness of this technique, gamers will not save much time in the long term.

Fire-resistant clothes and elixirs are more effective alternatives to striking ChuChu jelly whenever possible, outside of the Test of Will challenge. Breath of the Wild gamers can pull off some spectacular stunts, and this one is no exception. Since the game’s debut in 2017, gamers have been making use of the game’s innovative features and completing incredible feats while traversing the land of Hyrule. In light of Breath of the Wild’s illustrious past, it’s still unclear what kinds of feats players will be able to carry off in its upcoming sequel.

Breath of the Wild 2 is expected to arrive later this year, but there is currently no release date or even a name for the game. There is still no word on when the sequel to Breath of the Wild will be released following the absence of BOTW 2 from February’s Nintendo Direct.
