Anime like this has been around for a long time. ‘Visions of Escaflowne’ and ‘Inuyasha’ were early examples. In recent years, isekai anime has grown in popularity. Isekai can be found in many of the most well-known anime series of the last ten years. That time I was reborn as slime, and “Re: Zero — Starting Life in Another World,” are among the more memorable ones. A character from one universe (typically ours) gets transported to another (generally quite different from ours) in an isekai storey. To describe something unusual or out-of-the-ordinary, Japanese people use the phrase “.” The first and last three letters of the word “world” stand for “is.” Over the last decade, isekai anime series like “Overlord,” which aired in 2015, has grown in popularity.
In 2018, it came to an end. After three seasons on the air, it was time for the show to be cancelled. If “Overlord” returns to our screens in the near future, we’ll have to wait and see. Season 4 of “Overlord” is nearing completion. So far, this is all we have to go on.
When will the fourth season of Overlord be released?
If there is a fourth season, it has yet to be revealed by Overlord’s studio Madhouse. In terms of a release date for Season 4, there are several possibilities. Anime Con in Germany in 2019 may have been the first sign that “Overlord” might be returning for a fourth season. At the event, Yukie Sugawara talked about the upcoming fourth season of the show. According to her, it was “very probable” (in so many words, given that her statement was in Japanese and translated into German for the attendant audience).
According to a Reddit user who has shared this storey, a lot of people initially felt that this phrase suggested that there was going to be a new season when it travelled around the Internet. The link to Sugawara’s comment from a Reddit post, for example, has now been taken down. Sugawara, on the other hand, has hinted that he thinks “Overlord” would get a fourth season, even if it isn’t official. “Overlord” is also based on a popular Japanese light book series, which is still a big hit in the country. Third place in light novel sales between January and June of 2020 is Volume 14. “Demon Slayer” TV novelizations paved the way for its release. A new season of “Overlord” could still be a big hit given the popularity of the light novel series. As a result, Season 4 is unlikely to arrive until at least 2022 at the earliest given the lack of recent news.
What can we expect from the fourth season?
Here’s what happens in “Overlord” when the first episode begins. Momonga, a young boy, is sucked into the virtual world of “MMORPG” (like “RuneScape”), a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Ainz Ooal Gown is the name of Momonga’s character, and Momonga is actually Ainz. When compared to Momonga, Ainz is a powerful figure in the YGGDRASIL virtual world where the game is set. YGGDRASIL’s world is now seen through the eyes of a magical necromancer, not a person immersed in a computer game.
The Sorcerer Kingdom is the name of Ainz’s new kingdom at the end of Season 3. As the “Overlord” light novels progress, we see more and more of Ainz’s struggles as king of his own kingdom. This is why Season 4 should begin with material from the light novel series’ volume 10. As a result of Ainz’s involvement in fantasy politics, he now finds himself in conflict with the rulers of rival countries.
