Following the release of The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix, a PC modder created a mod that allows players of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to use Henry Cavill’s outfit. Since the original introduction of the TV programme in December 2019, the modding community has provided PC users with a slew of remarkable modifications, one of which just included Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer of Vengerberg to the interactive experience.
Yennefer of Vengerberg is played by Anya Chalotra. Of course, a slew of other modders have come up with inventive ways to incorporate Henry Cavill’s likeness into video games; some of them have been around since months before the Netflix series’ pilot season aired. Fans of The Witcher 3 who are unable to access these types of mods should not be concerned. Developer CD Projekt Red hinted at intentions to release Netflix-inspired items alongside The Witcher 3’s long-awaited PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades over the summer of 2014.
While the studio hasn’t revealed any specifics regarding the content, they have teased that armour similar to that worn by Henry Cavill will be included. Some gamers, on the other hand, will be able to experience all of this and more for themselves thanks to a new Witcher 3 PC mod. According to GameRant, PC modder WitcherSeb has recently posted a Witcher 3 mod on Nexus Mods, which allows users to dress their Geralt of Rivia with clothing inspired by the Netflix television programme.
This particular mod, titled “Henry Cavill Netflix Clothes,” includes the TV character’s all-black plainclothes, Season 1 armour and Wolf Medallion as well as his all-black plainclothes from the show. According to WitcherSeb’s installation instructions, installing the Henry Cavill-inspired Witcher 3: Wild Hunt mod should be straightforward. Even better, it just takes up 9.2MB of disc space. Some players will undoubtedly find the creation to be entertaining and worthwhile to check out.
CD Projekt Red first launched their third mainline Witcher game for PC and last-generation platforms in May 2015, and it has since been updated. Since then, the critically acclaimed role-playing game has made the transition to the Nintendo Switch platform. The success of The Witcher 3 is also reflected in the game’s excellent sales figures. As of spring 2022, the game had sold an astounding 30 million copies globally; the gaming franchise as a whole had sold more than 50 million copies throughout the course of its history.
Since the release of the second season of Netflix’s live-action series, which serves as an adaptation of the Andrzej Sapkowski book series, these figures are likely to have seen a significant increase in popularity.
