Arcane’s Vi is now playable in Fortnite thanks to a skin. Animated Netflix series Arcane features Vi and her sister Jinx as two of the show’s central characters. For those who don’t know, both characters are playable in the source material for League of Legends. One half of Piltover’s enforcers, Jinx and Vi, make up a crime-fighting team with Caitlyn, another character from the game and show. Jinx is a dangerous troublemaker who likes to blow things up and take unplanned risks.
In late 2021, Riot’s flagship game League of Legends was brought to life in the form of Arcane. Many games, such as Magic: The Gathering and Among Us, collaborated to celebrate the show’s debut, and now even Fortnite players can get involved. Fans of Arcane will have to wait a long time before they can get their fix of new episodes, so this will have to tide them over until then.
Epic Games is adding Vi to Fortnite as a skin, following her unveiling in a short video posted to Fortnite’s YouTube channel, according to an Engadget article today. Vi’s signature hextech gauntlets are absent from the skin, but there are a number of other cosmetics linked to her in the shop that makes up for it. In addition, Jinx’s Fortnite skin and the Jinx Arcane Bundle will be relisted in the shop alongside her sister for a limited time.
At 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the new skins and other items will be available for purchase in the shop. For those who want to bring Piltover’s toughest enforcer into their Fortnite game, a hammer called Jayce’s Warden Hammer and a punching practise emote will soon be available for purchase in the shop! Piltover’s Finest loading screen is included in the Arcane Vi Bundle purchase.
Arcane skins were released by League of Legends after the show’s success, in an effort to draw new players into the game. League of Legends received free Arcane skins for Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and Jayce when the show premiered, and Firelight Ekko was later made a pay-to-play option. Vi and Jinx are not the only characters to receive new skins for Fortnite in the near future, however. To commemorate the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a Green Goblin skin is expected to join Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as a playable skin in Fortnite. Fortnite players have a lot to look forward to, and more skins that haven’t been leaked yet are almost certainly on the way.
