What exactly is Fairy Tail: The Hundred-Year Quest?
This anime series is based on the Japanese manga series of the same name by Hiro Mashima, and it acts as a sequel to the immensely successful Fairy Tail main franchise. After making its premiere in the month of July 2018, the anime series has now been expanded to include nine volumes that have been published in over 90 unique chapters throughout the country of Japan. So far, seven volumes have been published in the English language, with the most recent two volumes slated to be released on Tuesday, September 28th, and Thursday, December 14th, respectively.

During a fan meetup with Hiro Mashima that took place in Japan on Saturday, September 11, 2021, the anime adaptation of 100 Years Quest was officially announced. The meeting was broadcast live on the internet. Unfortunately, very little information about the spin-off anime has been released, although it is assumed that the original cast of the series will reprise their respective roles. This cast also features Aya Hiran as Lucy, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu, and Sayaka Ohara as Ezra, among others.
According to Mashima, the release date for the Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime adaptation has not yet been announced.
