In Reddit’s opinion, Resident Evil Village is the best game of 2021

Resident Evil Village won Reddit’s Game of the Year at the Game Awards 2021, even though it didn’t win the GOTY award from TGA. Nominees for the Game of the Year award included Deathloop, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Metroid Dread, and Psychonauts 2. But Hazelight’s It Takes Two took home the top prize.
Resident Evil Village has been a big hit for Capcom. Its mix of intense horror and interesting characters made it one of the most popular games of 2021. It’s been a while since the events of 2017’s Resident Evil 7. The village puts players in the shoes of Ethan Winters. After the events of 7, Ethan and Mia have moved to a faraway place to try to move on from the horrible things that happened to them in Louisiana. This is where they’ve kept their daughter Rosemary, who was just a baby when Village began. Chris Redfield, a hero from the video game Resident Evil, takes Rose away from the young lovers. Afterwards, there is a fight to find Rose and get rid of the people who are putting her in danger.
Sydnee Goodman, the host of the Game Awards 2021 pre-show, said that Resident Evil Village won the Reddit r/gaming Game of the Year vote. Resident Evil Village got 30% of the votes from people who used the social news and content site. In a bad way for Capcom, this win didn’t match up with this year’s Game of the Year award from the Game Awards. It was still a pleasant surprise for the developer.
Maggie Robertson, who played Lady Alcina Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, won the Best Performance award at the TGA 2021 Awards on Sunday night. Against a lot of tough competition, Robertson won. Giancarlo Esposito, a well-known actor, was also nominated for an award for his portrayal of Antón Castillo in Far Cry 6. Robertson had already won the award for Best Performer at the Golden Joysticks Awards in November. She won again for her role as Lady Dimitrescu in the movie.
Many people are now excited to learn more about the future of Resident Evil games. DLC for Village has been confirmed to be in the works, but there hasn’t been any more information about what will be in it when it comes out. DLC for Village doesn’t look like it will happen soon, but Resident Evil: Re: Verse is coming out in 2022. In July 2021, this Resident Evil multiplayer game was supposed to go live. However, Capcom decided to put it off until next year, so it will be out then. Those who bought Resident Evil Village will get Resident Evil Re: Verse for free when it comes out next year.
