When aiming down with the new weapon in Fortnite Chapter 3 for the first time, players can switch to first-person mode. The first-person mode in Fortnite is now possible thanks to a new ADS mechanic introduced by Epic Games for Chapter 3 of the third-person action shooter. With the conclusion of Fortnite Chapter 2 and the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 3, the much-loved battle royale has officially set sail with new additions. In addition to new characters and cosmetics, Fortnite’s new map includes a slew of new mechanics such as sliding and swinging, which make the game more enjoyable than ever before.
Battle Royale is only available in third person mode in Fortnite Save the World, even though it has been available in first person for some time now. Its competitors, on the other hand, are primarily first-person or utilise both camera modes in order to give players more accessibility and bind the game to the perspective. Players in the groundbreaking PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, for example, can easily switch between first-person mode and third-person gunfire with the first-person aim down sight by pressing a button. Despite the fact that the camera in Fortnite is restricted to third-person, the battle royale genre’s most manipulative tool, Epic Games appears to be pursuing its original main competitor.
ModernWarzone on Twitter has provided a first look at Fortnite’s new first-person ADS mechanic. While playing first-person mode in a video, the player can be seen aiming down quickly. In Chapter 3, the MK-Seven assault rifle appears to have a red dot sight attachment that utilises first-person mode when players aim down with the weapon. With this, Epic Games is introducing the first-person perspective to Fortnite for the first time.
This has delighted both new and long-time players alike, with many saying they intend to re-download the game solely to experience it. Fortnite fans have been clamouring for a first-person mode for a long time, but it only made a brief appearance in Chapter 2 Season 7 unethically. Despite appearing broken and clumsy, an NPC exploit allowed players to play the rest of a casual match in the first person.
First-person mods for Fortnite have also been developed to show the game from a different perspective and to fill the void that many fans expected. Unfortunately, the lack of first-person animations and proper configuration made this mode unnatural to play. The game’s features were developed exclusively for a third-person perspective.
Because first-person competitive games are more popular and played than other genres, adding a limited first-person ADS mechanic could give some players an advantage. There will be even more new features in Fortnite Chapter 3 when it launches later this year. If the game is well-received, more weapons with the feature could be added in the future, especially if an attachment system is implemented.
