Anime series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will be taken in a new direction with Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli riding horses over the American Wild West in the JoJo Steel Ball Run. However, when will Netflix’s JoJo Part 7 anime be available on the streaming platform? Since director Naokatsu Tsuda announced at Anime Boston 2017 that he would like to animate all of JoJo’s portions, JoJo Season 6 is almost inevitable. Tsuda is most looking forward to animating JoJolion, which is the eighth episode of the overall series, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
On Reddit, anime fans observed that JoJo SBR obtained a patent in 2021 on the same day as JoJo Stone Ocean. Is this a sign that the next anime instalment will be completed quickly?
In addition to the JoJo anime series, David Production has animated such notables as Fire Force, Cells At Work!, and Strike Witches. They are the studio behind the anime TV series. For a studio shift to occur now, it would be unusual because the firm has produced all of the JoJo anime seasons since the show began in 2012.
The 2022 Spriggan anime revival will be released on Netflix in the future by David Productions. Fire Force Season 3 manga is nearing completion, so fans hope that the anime will be released as well.
Jojo Part 7’s primary team is yet to be announced. It’s possible, though, that the core staff will change over time.
This includes Kenichi Suzuki’s directorial contributions to the first three instalments, as well as Stone Ocean. In the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVA spin-off, director Toshiyuki Kato directed Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable, and in the main film, Stone Ocean, he directed Part 6. Part 5: Golden Wind was directed by Naokatsu Tsuda, who served as the film’s executive producer.
In the JoJo Steel Ball Run anime, the character designer is a key staff position that will shape the new characters’ appearances. For each of the previous four JoJo seasons, a new character designer has taken the helm.
As for Stone Ocean, the characters were designed by Masanori Shino (Black Lagoon, No Guns Life) and the Stands by Shunichi Ishimoto (Golden Wind).
There is a good chance that Yasuko Kobayashi, who has been working on the series since its inception, will continue to compose the series. Additionally, she is well-known for her work on Attack On Titan, Claymore, Death Note, Dororo and Kakegurui. Trigun: Badlands Rumble and Witchblade are among her other projects.
Both Yoshikazu Iwanami, the film’s sound director, and composer Yuugo Kanno are expected to return. In contrast to Yoshikazu, who has been a part of the core team since season one, Yuugo joined the team in season two.
The OP and ED theme song music for JoJo Part 7 has not yet been revealed.
The ichigo from KISIDA KYODAN & THE AKEBOSI ROCKETS sang the Stone Ocean OP “STONE OCEAN,” while Duffy’s “Distant Dreamer” from 2008 was the ED song.
As of 2012, there have been six seasons of the JoJo anime. The last season, Stone Ocean, was released on Netflix on December 1, 2021, and was only available for streaming. On January 7, 2022, the Japanese television network began airing the show every week. The JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 13 release date has yet to be determined, but it is expected to take place in 2022. The fifth season is likely to contain three courses in total.
What is a “cour,” you may wonder? “Cour” refers to three months of television programming, which is based on the physical seasons of 10 to 13 episodes. If Stone Ocean is a “split-cour,” it means that the show will take a hiatus of several months before returning to television.
While Japan will get to see the fifth season’s finale, JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 36/37/38 when it airs in June of that year, the United States will get the final instalment, JoJo Stone Ocean Part 3.
Do you think Netflix’s success will hasten the release of Jojo Steel Ball Run?
It’s still unclear when JoJo Part 7 will be available on Netflix, Warner Bros. Japan, Studio David Production, or any other company involved in the show’s production as of our latest update. The sequel to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run hasn’t been revealed, either, as of yet.
This page will be updated as soon as the news is officially confirmed.
In the meantime, fans can speculate on whether or not JoJo Part 7 will be released at all.
However, Netflix will have no say in whether or not JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is renewed for a second season. However, Netflix is not a member of the anime production committee that will make the final choice.
Regardless, Netflix’s streaming success (or failure) is a significant aspect because streaming money is the largest part of the anime industry’s income. Several Japanese animation studios have worked with Netflix, including NAZ, Science SARU, Studio Mir and MAPPA.
“Stone Ocean” was trending on Twitter on December 1, 2021, when the fifth season premiered.
But on December 1st, 2021, it failed to make it into the global Netflix Top 10 for shows in English or other languages. In fact, on the day of its debut, Stone Ocean failed to crack the global Netflix Top 100. This information should be viewed in the context of the other anime and animations that were popular at the time. Even the anime EDENS ZERO made the global Netflix Top 100 that day, coming in third behind ARCANE: League of Legends (ARCANE Season 2 has been confirmed).
The good news is that from December 2, 2021, Netflix Japan’s Top 10 was dominated by the Stone Ocean animation. Even in Bulgaria, it was the most popular. On Netflix, it was the second most popular TV show of the day, just behind Lost in Space Season 3. In addition, the anime ranked sixth in the United States on that day. “GREATEST. ANIME. EVER” declared Netflix Anime’s official Twitter feed. As a result, the JoJo hype train has a lot of steam, which may theoretically encourage a faster turnaround. Are we going to see any changes as a result of Netflix’s global success with this anime?
As well as completing Stone Ocean in 2022, we know that Studio David Productions will be busy with Netflix’s Spriggan. Fire Force Season 3 may be the next anime to air, as previously said. The 2022 Ensemble Stars!! Road to Show!! the film is also on the horizon.
To ensure that the JoJo Steel Ball anime can move forward quickly, all three productions have an entirely different primary crew from the JoJo anime. There is no guarantee that things will move any faster as a result of this, though.
It doesn’t matter how much money Netflix is pouring into anime because many animators are still living in poverty and working under terrible conditions.
There is a labour shortage in the anime industry right now because of a major flight of employees due to burnout induced by production schedules that are too frantic, low wages, and family concerns. Art quality is deteriorating since there aren’t enough animators to teach new ones, and big-title production delays are becoming more prevalent (the Wonder Egg Priority anime and the 86 anime are examples).
To keep up with demand, studios are scheduling projects years in advance because there aren’t enough personnel. As a result, much of the labour is being outsourced to Korea and China. As a result, the waiting period between JoJo Seasons is the most important aspect when making a prediction. Stone Ocean and Golden Wind were released in nine months, followed by Diamond Is Unbreakable and Golden Wind in more than two years.
Because of this, we should expect the release of Jojo Part 7 to be in late 2024 at the earliest. That JoJo SBR patent that was issued on September 22, 2021, raises a few questions. In the event of a faster manufacturing schedule, expect at least the second half of 2023 to arrive.
Part 9 of the JoJoLands manga is the latest installment in the series.
The anime is based on Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga series. Ultra Jump magazine has been the home of manga since 2005 when Weekly Shonen Jump ended its print run. As of September 2021, a total of 131 volumes had been published.
In 2003, the JoJo: Stone Ocean manga came to an end, and in 2011, the JoJo Part 7: Steel Ball Run manga came to an end as well. Starting in May 2011, JoJolion had 110 chapters and completed them in 2021.
Steel Ball Run’s world appeared in JoJolion. Despite this, because of the gap in time between the two storylines, the characters were distinct. The potential title of JoJoLands for JoJo Part 9 was unveiled on August 19, 2021. (JoJoranzu). The day before, a trademark application for the name “JoJoLands” was filed. After a brief pause, the author resumed releasing new stories.
VIZ Media has the official English translation of the JoJo manga. Unfortunately, no English-language editions of any of the JoJo Part 7 manga volumes have been made available. In May 2021, VIZ Media had only finished Diamond Is Unbreakable, the final instalment in the series. Since Volume 3 of Golden Wind will only be released in February 2022, the anime will be much ahead of its English translation.
Why is the JoJo Steel Ball Run anime not the seventh season of JoJo?
A single season of 26 episodes was created for the first two parts of the manga series, JoJo: Phantom Blood and JoJo: Battle Tendency, which included 12 volumes each. Jojo: Stardust Crusaders had 152 chapters spread over its 17 volumes. Two separate 24-episode broadcasting blocks aired in 2014 and 2015 for the second season, which was broken into two separate 24-episode blocks.
Volumes of JoJo: Diamond Is Unbreakable contained 174 chapters. The 39 episodes of the late 2015 anime adaptation were a departure from the norm. The third season of the three-part series was released in late 2015.
Season four of Golden Wind (Vento Aureo) was also released as three cours with 39 episodes. In total, there were 155 chapters in the Golden Wind manga, which was published in 17 volumes.
The fifth season of anime, Stone Ocean, is expected to contain three courses with 36 to 39 episodes. In total, there were 158 chapters in 17 volumes of the Stone Ocean manga.
However, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 6, JoJo Part 7, is expected to be lengthier even though it has fewer chapters. Jojo Steel Ball Run manga was switched to Ultra Jump after the 23rd chapter, which meant that the chapters were released monthly rather than weekly.
This adjustment resulted in JoJo Part 7 having 95 chapters in 24 volumes because the monthly chapters had more pages per book. ‘ JoJo Season 6 might be a four or five-episode series based on this storey.
Jojo Part 7 is anticipated to be a split-cour anime like Stardust Crusaders because it is expected to span for at least a year. At the very least, expect a three-month pause, however, it would be best if it lasted six months so that the production timeline isn’t crammed and the quality of the CGI horses isn’t harmed.
The finale of JoJo Stone Ocean was explained.
The ending of Stone Ocean, as well as the presence of the first female JoJo, caused quite a stir. Pucci attempts to change the history of the cosmos so that the Joestars are wiped out and Dio is king in an epic end to the generation-spanning saga.
Since he establishes another reality and kills the heroes one by one with this ultimate Standability Made in Heaven, Pucci appears to have achieved his goal. It’s Emporio who kills Pucci, trapping his soul in the collapsing world and therefore erasing the villain’s existence and preventing the previous events from ever occurring. Ironically.
The Joestar family’s past has changed dramatically since the JoJo timeline was abolished. Even though Jotaro is still around in this alternate reality, the name he gives his daughter, Irene, rather than Jolyne, suggests that the future generations of JoJo are superfluous in this new existence.
This bittersweet Stone Ocean ending is disputed, even if Jotaro and Jolyne/Irene were permitted to build a healthy father-daughter relationship. Foo Fighters’ death is the ultimate sacrifice because her existence as even a different person is inconceivable as it was Pucci who brought FF to life in the first place by giving the plankton colony awareness.
The worst part is that Jolyne as we know her has been completely obliterated. Despite his best efforts, Jotaro is unable to save his daughter from the onslaught of blades. Jotaro’s face is slashed open just like Thoth predicted back in Part 3 of the series.
These awful deaths were observed by Emporio. His buddies reunited, but their true identities and memories were sacrificed in the process. Emporio alone bears the pain of watching this. A time shift also means that when Jotaro destroyed Dio in 1989, he effectively put an end to his reign of terror. In the absence of any surviving Joestars, Dio’s nefarious scheme has come to an end after a century of fighting between the Joestars and their descendants.
Picco’s last showdown is contentious, but it certainly sets the stage for Jojo Steel Ball Run. This action also created a multiverse in the JoJo world, and these various realities become an important plot component in the subsequent storey cycles.
The plot summary/synopsis of the JoJo SBR anime
Part 7: Steel Ball Run is seen as a pinnacle of Hirohiko Araki’s career as a manga writer by certain admirers. Some of the previous portions had issues with “Stand of the week” bouts and storey pacing, but this one is much better. Some characters didn’t grow or characters who faded away without making a lasting impression during the storey.
With a clear objective and a continual push toward the finish line over the various stages of the journey, JoJo SBR eliminates all of these concerns. This novel has a primary concentration on character development, and recurring characters encourage long-term progress.
Concepts from past JoJo Parts are also reworked in this new environment. Most significantly, every one of the Stands is an outspoken revolutionary. Many of the new Steel Ball Run Stands work more as tools or unique abilities, with some even being wearable things, rather than being projected ghost-like bodily manifestations like the old humanoid Stands.
Araki was able to improve his artwork by switching to a monthly publication schedule. The characters’ proportions became significantly less cartoony as the panels became more alive with features.
In a parallel dimension to the JoJo multiverse, spectators will be transported to the year 1890 by a spaghetti western storey inspired by Phantom Blood. Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, two new protagonists set in the United States, are introduced.
As a result of a freak accident, Johnny was paralysed from the waist down and has since retired from horseback riding. In the charismatic Gyro, the young man finds solace in the strange weapons he wields, a pair of steel balls, which momentarily restore Johnny’s mobility.
And, of course, Dio is back! Diego Brando is a British jockey whose father, Dario Brando, attempted to drown him as a baby by letting him be swept away in a river. And to make matters worse, he is still alive!
It was on a farm when his gift for horsemanship was discovered after his mother was abandoned by Dario after this tragedy. Diego’s mother died of tetanus at the age of six, leaving the Brando family in a state of turmoil. As a result of his mother’s insistence that Diego promises to use his abilities to help himself out of poverty, Diego became well-known in the British equestrian community.
Despite his sad past, Diego alias Dio is no less of a foe to Johnny and Gyro than he was before. When Diego and Johnny both became jockeys, Diego’s father would chastise Johnny for his son’s tendency to finish second in competitions. Diego was the one who led out the horse that Nicholas, Johnny’s brother who perished in an accident, rode. It’s also been suggested that Diego poisoned an 83-year-old widow who he married for the inheritance money.
The Steel Ball Run, a cross-country horse-riding marathon from San Diego to New York City with nine checkpoints and routes, brought together Johnny and Gyro. Points are awarded for finishing each stage, and the winner is the rider who has the most points at the end of the race.
It’s a $50 million prize pool, but Johnny wants to enter because he’s curious about Gyro’s winning strategy. He doesn’t care about the money. A horse race, of all, isn’t all there is to the storey. In many respects, this journey will be strange, especially when numerous realities are involved.
The 23rd President of the United States, Funny Valentine, plans to use the race as a ruse to gather the fragments of an ancient sacred body, which is widely indicated to be Jesus Christ. Johnny and Gyro uncover this conspiracy. Assassins sent by the President are also a major threat to Johnny and Gyro’s success!
Inconveniently, fans of the JoJo Steel Ball Run anime must wait until its premiere date to see what happens next. You’ll be hearing from us soon!
