The latest trailer for the Demon Slayer anime’s next arc gives us a few brief glimpses of the Sound Hashira and the demon Daki, as well as several other characters. The Entertainment District arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba has received a new trailer.
The final preview for the new arc was posted online by Twitter user @ Zxrxjurx kny, who can be found at this link. While the trailer mostly contains footage that has already been seen in previous trailers, there are a few brief cuts of new material, including a shot of the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, leaping into action and a brief glimpse of Tanjiro’s battle with Daki, who is shown in her demon form. The trailer is available on YouTube. The Entertainment District storyline will begin with the transmission of a special hour-long episode on December 5, which will mark the beginning of the season. Whenever new episodes of the series are broadcast in Japan, Crunchyroll and Funimation are broadcasting an international simulcast of the series on their respective platforms.
Due to the fact that the Entertainment District arc is one of the most critically lauded sections of Koyoharu Gotouge’s original Demon Slayer manga, there has been a lot of excitement surrounding the anime adaptation. To aid the Sound Hashira in his investigation into a string of probably demon-related disappearances in the area’s red-light district, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke travel to a big city throughout the course of the storey arc. As the trailer reveals, there are demons operating within the city, and one of them is a member of the infamous Twelve Uzuki, who is responsible for the destruction of the city.
According to the schedule, the new plot arc will take place after the conclusion of the current arc of the second season, which was a TV adaptation of a storey that was originally made into the 2020 film Mugen Train, which went on to become the biggest grossing anime film of all time. The final episode of the seven-part arc aired on November 28. In addition to 70 fresh new scenes intercut throughout the season, animation company Ufotable created a whole new prologue episode centred on the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, in order to urge viewers to rewatch the Mugen Train story.
The duration of the Entertainment District arc has not yet been announced by any of the firms engaged in the production of the Demon Slayer anime. The official Chinese stream for the series had previously said that the second season would consist of only 18 episodes, which did not include the seven episodes of the Mugen Train arc. However, this has since been corrected. Fans of the series are still holding their breath in anticipation of the announcement of further episodes that would make the season’s episode count closer to that of Season 1, which aired 26 episodes in the spring of 2019 and the summer of 2020.
