It is set in Japan during the Taisho era, when demons posed a serious threat to humanity. However, Kamado Tanjiro, a young boy, is completely unaware of the situation. He lives quietly in the Highlands with his family. Tanjiro has become the family’s sole breadwinner since his father’s death. The young man makes living selling charcoal in a nearby village. After selling charcoal, he was running late one day. As a result, a lonely old man at the foot of the mountains begs him to spend the night with him. When it comes to Tanjiro, the elderly man’s wish is acceptable. The old man also tells the boy stories about demons and how they prey on humans, but the boy dismisses them as fairy tales. He is not by himself.
The next morning, Tanjiro returns to his house. However, his life was turned upside down when he witnessed the massacre of his entire family. His older brother had discovered his sister Nezuko, who was still alive. She was, however, not in the best of health. As a result, Tanjiro and her injured sister fly to the nearest hospital to seek medical attention. Everything changed when his sister began to transform into a demon. Nezuko immediately pursues her older brother after transforming into a demon. A strange man appears to keep Tanjiro safe from her sister. He presents himself as Giyu Tomioka, a demon slayer who hunts demons. Nezuko, on the other hand, was unique among demons in that she retained human emotions after becoming one. As a result, Giyu decides not to kill Nezuko.
Sakonji Urokodaki, Giyu’s mentor, taught him how to be a demon slayer, and Tomioka wants Tanjiro to pay him a visit. As a result, he pays a visit to Urokodaki, where he learns how to slay demons using the “Water- Breathing” technique he learned from Urokodaki. Tanjiro is certified as a demon slayer after completing his training and passing an exam. Then he and his sister set out on a quest to slay terrifying monsters while looking for clues that will lead them to Muzan, the mastermind. Muzan is the ancestor of all demons because he is the only person capable of transforming a human into a terrifying demon. Tanjiro encounters numerous powerful demons along the way, but he defeats them all with the assistance of new allies he meets along the way, such as Zenitsu and Inosuke. He and his companions continue to battle formidable demons and allies.
