The first one on their target is Jiwoo out of all people. The assassin sent after Jiwoo appears familiar, like the female instructor that came from the world academy.

Amyeong stops the assassin from making his/her move and saved Jiwoo’s life for good. To those who don’t know who Amyeong is, you could identify him as Dark from chapter 125 of the manhwa.

It seems that last week we got two chapters on the same day.

Amyeong’s Motive
Amyeong was initially presented as Dark in chapter 125 of the manga. He was quite irritated after learning out that a delicate child like Jiwoo is Kayden’s apprentice. Kayden made sure that Dark realized what it meant to tamper with Jiwoo and that is why we are sure that he has learnt his lesson.
When the assassin came for Jiwoo in the last chapter, Amyeong was the one to intercept him. But why did he save him? Amyeong made his entrance as a hero this time instead of a villain like the last time. Since he is also an assassin, he might have obtained the information about this hit through his sources.
Amyeong aka Dark coming to help Jiwoo was undoubtedly the highlight of the last chapter and we look forward to things that might happen in the forthcoming Eleceed Chapter 169.
How Will Kayden React?
The previous time Jiwoo got attacked, Kayden was enraged beyond measure. If the word of this assassination reaches the ears of Kayden, the world academy is sure to get in trouble.
Kayden threatening the world academy will undoubtedly be a spectacular arc. The top awakeners from the whole world will soon be making their way to Korea and the things are going to get incredibly exciting.

The assasin recognizes him and asks why he is there.
Amyeong says that he is coming to pay off a loan.
Then we see Amyeong slay the assasin by cutting a hole in his chest.
Jiwoo is lying on the ground after jogging so long.
Amyeong appears there and has a discussion with him.
He warns Jiwoo that people from all around the world are going to come after him.
Jiwoo should not become a burden to Kayden and become strong enough to reveal to the world that he is Kayden’s apprentice.
Then we see Kayden and Curtin back at the academy.
