Getting isekaid is nothing new in the anime industry. Whenever the main character dies in the very first episode, we know that it’s time for a fantasy world to open up. Now, how about moving someone from the bloodstained past of ancient China to today’s world of pubs, EDMs, and pop culture? Won’t that be a fantasy world for someone who spent his life-fighting wars? This ridiculous concept lays up the basis of Ya Boy Kongming! Comedy manga.
It is a clever blend of the modern-day world and the ancient world with a suitable quantity of humour and historical aspects. Things have changed tremendously over the years, yet life is still nothing less than a war where you need a strategic mind to survive. Kongming and Eiko Tsukumi, the two characters from two distinct eras, are a wonderful complement for each other. In case you are intrigued about their unique adventure, there’s excellent news for you. The manga will be receiving an anime adaptation in 2022.
