Following last week’s unexpected and shocking turn of events, which brought the chapter to a close, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of this new chapter. And it’s finally here, at long last! Please continue reading to find out everything you need to know about the upcoming chapter, titled Tokyo No. 1 Colony Part 6, of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series, from spoilers to publishing dates and more.
Recap of Chapter 165
First, let’s take a look back at what happened in the most recent chapter of the series, chapter 165, before we get into spoilers for that chapter.
After having his cursed technique seized from him in chapter 164, we watch Itadori defending his life against Higuruma’s strikes for the most of chapter 165, which is a very long chapter. Higuruma realises that because Itadori does not possess a cursed technique, the method ‘confiscation’ was used to remove all of Itadori’s cursed energy instead.
Higuruma is both pleased and annoyed by Yuji’s ability to block and stay up with him despite the fact that he is not using the cursed energy to do so. Other sorcerers, on the other hand, have no fight left in them after their cursed technique has been captured. Higuruma assaults our hero with all of his might and manages to pin him down under the weight of his enlarging camel. It is at this point that Itadori recognises that he is in court, which means he has the authority to do what he wants. Right before he is crushed to death, Itadori cries out for another trial.
This time, the charges against Itadaori are significantly more serious; as Judgeman points out, Yuji Itadori is accused of committing a mass murder in Shibuya on October 31, 2018, according to the evidence. As a result, Itadori responds without hesitation and immediately: “Yes, I did that, I won’t lie about it, and I won’t deny it.” Itadori’s punishment, the death penalty, is announced in the final panel of the chapter, which brings the chapter to a close.
Spoilers for Chapter 166
Now that we’ve all caught up, let’s get into the spoilers for chapter 166 right away. Note that certain raws for the future chapter have already been released, therefore there are confirmed spoilers in the following section; you have been forewarned.
Tokyo No. 1 Colony is the title of Chapter 166. The execution of Itadori is the first scene of the sixth chapter. Higurma’s gavel transforms into an executioner’s sword, and the sorcerer is forced to consider what is in the evidence before him. He is aware that the evidence in the envelope proves that Itadori is not guilty of the crime and that he was not in control of his body at the time of the incident. When Higuruma is going to strike Yuji with the sword, the sword vanishes into thin air. Itadori takes advantage of the situation and sends Higuruma flying away with a punch.
It’s clear that Higuruma’s sword vanished just as he was ready to punish someone he knew to be innocent of his crimes. Since Higuruma’s cursed method is the result of his hatred for the unfair system and the law, it stands to reason that he will not be able to abuse his newfound power.
After being struck by Sukuna, Higuruma explains to Yuji that he cannot be held legally responsible for his conduct because he was not in control of Sukuna at the time. He even attempted to halt Sukuna and seize power, proving that he is not guilty of any crime. Itadori tells Higuruma that it doesn’t matter because he was weak and couldn’t stop Sukuna, and that it was his responsibility. Later, the ex-lawyer informs Itadori that there are many people who are significantly weaker than him in this regard.
The two of them take a seat next to each other, and Higuruma inquires of the young sorcerer whether he has ever killed someone on purpose before. Yuji responds that he has, to which Higuruma responds that it isn’t the worst sensation in the world. Afterwards, Higuruma proceeds to share with Itadori a storey from his own past. After completing his storey, Higuruma agrees to assist the hero and award him 100 points on the grounds that he, too, is a weakling.
