After a lengthy streak of training and competitive games, the Blue Lock squad has finally been allowed some time off. And unlike last week’s enjoyable and highly competitive, impromptu arcade get-together with the Blue Lock and Japanese U-2O teams, it appears like this week will be more family-focused.
As the players use their brief break to be with their family until Ego inevitably pulls them back for training. This chapter hopefully will reveal us where and what Shindou and Rin had been during their two weeks off. And maybe maybe we can get a peek at what Blue Lock Phase 2 will look like.
Chapter 151 Recap
Before we move into chapter 152’s spoilers, lets give a short summary of what happened place in chapter 151.
Picking up from chapter 150 this chapter continues the two teams competitive bowling battle, however we skip over bulk of the match we get to watch the last 3 bowlers, from the Blue Lock team we see Chigiri hit a spare, tying the Blue Lock team up with the U-20 players. However, Darai from the U-20 team hits a strike forcning the Blue Lock team to have to attempt to hit a strike with their last member Nagi. In short after hilarously falling Nagi hits it for his squad.
After this Isagi travels to meet with one of his former high school teamates, Tada Tomonari, on the way there Isagi runs into a small child with his mother and father. The mother informs Isagi that her kid has been obssesed with Isagi and the rest of the Blue Lock squad since their game and begs if her son can shake his hand. Of course Isagi agrees okay to this and as he goes he thinks about how he actually altered the world.
After meeting up with Tada, best known to us readers as the player who missed the goal in that distant first chapter, the two start discussing about Isagi’s recent game. Tada goes on to remark that Isagi’s last goal was pure luck and that he feels horrible for him, as he used all his lifes luck on that one goal. Isagi chuckles along with the high schooler but he thinks to himself, that although that goal may have been fortunate, Tada have no clue how hard he has been battling in Blue Lock. As Isagi says farewell to his pal he realizes that he was mistaken, it wasnt the world that changed but rather him.
Finally at the end of the chapter we see Ego conversing with the “big shot owners” of Blue Lock and they doubt if Blue Lock is truly a smart investment, considering how well its performing. Ego answers to this passionately as he informs the investors, Blue Lock Phase 2 will encompass the whole planet. Ending the chapter on that high note.
Chapter 152 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s get straight into chapter 151, titled ‘Restart’. Warning, though, raws for the future chapter are already available therefore there are verified spoilers below, you have been warned.
This chapter opens out with Blue Lock’s number one player, who was really missing in the prior chapter, Itoshi Rin. We see him reading an article on his brother, Itoshi Sae and his comments on the recent Blue Lock against U-20 squad that he particapated in. Sae answers the reporters query quick and simply as he adds, there is no more that the outcome you have observed.
As Rin reads this he recalls back how he took the ball from Sae back in that same game, Sae thinks to himself that he surely won that. But then Rin goes back to thinkging that, if he won that why was Isagi the one Sae acknowldged in the end. He further goes on to state Isagi got everything in that game while I got nothing. Finally Rin’s monologue finishes with him claiming in order to kill Sae and Isagi he needs to change.
Jumping back to Isagi, we find him and his family watching his interview that he did after the match. Where Isagi promised the world that he would be the one to lead Japan to a world cup triumph. After this his parents compliment him and the three of them sit down together to enjoy supper. Isagi’s parents are delighted for him and they say things like, we’ll always be by your side and so on, but most importantly they advise him to live they way he wants to.
As Isagi layys on his bed later on he thinks about what his parents told him and he th inks that maybe living the way you want to, is what it means to be an egotist. But while he rests on his bed him and all the other Blue Lock players get a text from Anri (we even catch a peek of Shindou) (we even catch a glimpse of Shindou). The SMS effectively notifies them that break is finished, sendnign over an invitation of sorts, where to be and what time. The text is titled, Blue Lock Project, Restart Notice.
In the last panel of the chapter we see all the Blue Lock players coming off a bus, and gathered outside of the Blue Lock facility, with hordes of reporters.
