In case you are missing out on vampire actions ever after the completion of Vanitas no Carte Season1. Here’s good news, you don’t have to wait long for the next vampire anime as Kotoyama’s vampire manga Call of the Nights will be having an anime adaptation by July 2022. Apart from his previous manga, Dgashi Kashi, this is his sole work that got accepted for an anime adaptation.
Be it anime or live-action; vampire shows are something that we simply can’t see enough of. Just like shamans, demons, titans, and ghouls, vampires have become a recurring aspect in the anime culture. None of us must have thought that a western idea could garner this much favor in the East. But then again, that’s how adaptable these blood-sucking entities are that they can be fashioned into any genre from horror to romance.
Synopsis
The plot concentrates upon an unnatural relationship between a human and a vampire. Ko, the human kid, fell in love with a vampire and wanted to become one too. However, human to vampire transformation isn’t something that can be done so quickly. Nanakusa, the vampire girl, goes as far as asking him to her abandoned building merely to drink his luscious blood off his neck.
However, everything changes when a gorgeous girl from Yamori’s past shows up to compete for Ko’s attention. Ko finds himself entangled in a tug of war between two gorgeous girls. Can his growing friendship with the undead pass this test or love? Or giving up on Nanakusa is something he should actually do? So, it’s reasonable to say that the anime will be a blend of vampire and harem genres.

Meanwhile, the teaser was even more interesting. It included the anime’s theme song, Yofukashi no Uta” (Call of the Night) by Creepy Nuts. Standing apart from any other clichéd romance moments, Nanakusa is seen cradling Ko in her arms. She brings her to an abandoned building and tries to suck his blood. Does she genuinely love him? Or all of this is just her blood lust? We shall find that out as soon as the anime premieres.
