Plot
Spy x Family centres around Loid Forger and his family. At first appearance, it seems like a normal family: a father, a mother, a daughter, and a dog. However, the reality of the family is far complicated.
Loid Forger is an undercover spy codenamed Twilight. To resolve a mission termed ‘Operation Strix,’ he constructs this false family. He marries Yor Forger and adopts Anya. However, Yor is actually an assassin dubbed ‘Thorn Princess,’ and Anya is a mind reader who fakes her age (she is 4 or 5 years old but pretends to be 6) to get adopted by Loid. Neither Yor nor Loid are aware of each other’s backgrounds as they continue to live together and disguise their actual characteristics.
Loid also adopts a dog named Bond, who is actually the test subject of Project Apple and has the capacity to glimpse into the future.
Spy x Family Anime Release Date
The manga was immediately popular in Japan, which prompted some fans query why it had not been converted into an anime. There have been various reports that an anime adaptation was on its way. However, the confirmation was finally provided earlier on 30 October 2021, via a blog from Ryokutya. Although there has been no official announcement made till now, it is certain that Spy x Family is getting an anime adaptation from a collaboration production between CloverWorks and Wit Studio.
