My Hero Academia gave fans a new peek into Star and Stripe’s past with a flashback in the manga’s most recent chapter! The first big battle of the Final Act’s second arc has begun, pitting Tomura Shigaraki’s newfound power against the United States of America’s most powerful hero, and fans have already gotten a taste of what both of these superhumans are capable of.
During the same time, fans have gained insight into Star and Stripe’s mentality, as she embodies the best of what America’s superheroes have to offer in terms of strength and courage. As the battle between Star and Stripe reaches its peak in the latest episode, viewers were given a new insight into the characters’ pasts.
The newest chapter of the series delves a bit more into her background, as she reveals how All Might inspired her on her journey to heroism, and the relationship she has with her flying team. A flashback in the most recent chapter of the series delves a little deeper into her connection with her “Bros.” A flashback that reveals a different side of the loud and outspoken American hero.
One of Star and Stripe’s training sessions with her flight squad is recounted in the first chapter of the third season of the series, Chapter 332. The flashback here actually provides us a deeper picture of just how firmly she holds her crew, despite the fact that we’ve already heard them all proclaim with one another how easily they’d give their life for one another. While she has always had doubts about her ability to increase her own power and has had second thoughts about how she has been ridiculed for being a girl over the years, Star’s team has never once done so.
Instead, they express faith in her ability to one day surpass All Might, which she credits with helping to increase her own self-esteem and confidence. A relationship that will come into play later on when she must choose between sacrificing her teammate for a final opportunity at an attack or conceding to Shigaraki on the field of battle.
In addition, thanks to this flashback, viewers may obtain a better picture of the kind of hero she was before taking on a monster like Shigaraki’s new incarnation in the present day.
But, what did you think of this look back into the history of the Star and Stripes? What do you believe that signifies for the future of America’s most revered hero, in your opinion? In the comments section, please share your thoughts on the subject.
