That’s what the current cliffhanger in My Hero Academia hints at: the death of Tomura Shigaraki. In the current My Hero Academia manga, the furious Battle between the All For One and Tomura Shigaraki hybrid and America’s No. 1 hero, Star and Stripe, is covered. So, in the face of AFO Shigaraki’s improved shape and regenerative powers, Star and Stripe’s godlike “New Order” quirk isn’t enough, so the American Heorine decided to put it all into one final, ultimate attack!
Spoilers ahead for My Hero Academia Chapter 332!
To bring down AFO Shigaraki, the Star and Stripes used some of America’s secret weapons: the Tiamat missiles. Because of the weapon’s speed and strength, the Americans are confident that they will incinerate the villain before he has a chance to regenerate. The Star and Stripes’ tight-knit band of bad boy pilots manage to pull off their attack with some great coordination:
Redirecting the missiles to Shigaraki is done by Star and Stripe and the New Order.
The final strike by Star and Stripe is as devastating as expected, resulting in a nuclear-level explosion in the sky over Japan. Shigaraki can be annihilated, but All For One’s level of experience and cunning when it comes to survival can’t be destroyed by the attack.
Star and Stripe’s New Order oddity has fascinated AFO Shigaraki since they began their combat. An American superhero has an ultimate attack coming, and the villain knows it, so he pulls off an incredible defence that just so happens to save his own life. AFO Shigaraki uses his enhanced decay quirk to burrow underground into the Earth and avoid total annihilation when the Tiamat missiles explode.
AFO Shigaraki emerges from the shadows with only a half-skinned skeleton to his name, but it suffices.
American team members are forced into a dangerous game of roulette by the villain, who hijacks one of the planes flown by the Star and Stripe’s “bros.” AFO Shigaraki, on the other hand, does not hesitate in delivering the fatal blow.
When AFO Shigaraki’s hand touches Star and Stripe, it appears to mean “Game Over” for America’s greatest hero.
The loss to the United States could be overwhelming if the Star and Stripe is truly removed. As far as I can tell, her New Order peculiarity is America’s most powerful deterrent, and whatever the number two is is a long way behind.
If AFO Shigaraki steals New Order for himself, the villain’s ability to modify reality is truly nightmare fuel.
In the end, the United States of America will have one final trick up its sleeve. Because Star and Stripe has one last chance to speak a New Order regulation into existence as AFO Shigaraki captures her.
She’s going to die if she doesn’t get the appropriate one.
