One delightfully cosplayed character has published an oddly NSFW rendition of Dragon Ball’s Kid Buu on social media! For fans of the Dragon Ball franchise, Akira Toriyama’s manga and anime have introduced them to a slew of memorable enemies and allies over the course of the series’ lengthy runs, and new characters occasionally end up serving as both rivals and allies for Goku and his fellow Z Fighters.
Majin Buu and his multiple incarnations continue to be the most shocking member of this group to this day. Buu was first presented as a tremendously destructive extraterrestrial being that even the gods couldn’t handle, but he has now evolved into one of the Earth’s most powerful friends.
To bring the Dragon Ball franchise to a close the first time around, it took a major adversary, and while the franchise’s main storey would be revisited many years later with new adversaries and stories seen in Dragon Ball Super, Buu once served as a villain deserving of the honour of bringing the franchise to a close. Buu’s most evil, and prime incarnation, called “Kid Buu,” was responsible for everything, and it is this version of the monster that has come to life in a wonderfully, almost inappropriate way due to a hilarious makeover by Low Cost Cosplay on Instagram!
Kid Buu may have appeared to be the final adversary of Dragon Ball at first, but that wasn’t precisely the case in the end. In the end, Buu served as the ultimate adversary, while Goku’s final pupil in the form of his reborn self served as a new pupil for Goku to train and make stronger in preparation for the possibility of facing an opponent as formidable as Buu in the future. With the most recent arcs and revelations seen in Dragon Ball Super involving Buu, Uub, and their role among the gods, there have been some new twists added into the mix, which surely makes things more fascinating for the future of the franchise.
It is yet to be determined whether or not Buu will serve as an antagonist for the franchise in the future, but he, along with many other characters, will be making their return to the anime with the forthcoming release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the franchise’s next feature film. In a statement, Toei Animation stated that the film is currently scheduled for release in Japan (with an international release following shortly after), and while nothing is known about the film’s plot at this time, it is already an exciting addition to the anime and series canon.
But, what are your thoughts? Which version of Buu do you prefer the most? In your opinion, how does he rate among your favourite villains? Or is he one of your favourite characters in general?
