I can’t believe it’s here! Anime adaptations of some of the best-known manga series have finally been made. On their official website, Blue Lock Anime has been announced. Hold on tight, because we’re about to tell you all you need to know about the upcoming Blue Lock Season 1 anime, including its release date, plot, trailer, and anticipated cast.
Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura wrote and drew the Blue Lock manga. Weekly Shonen Magazine published it, with Kodansha as the publication house. Tatsuaki Watanabe, Shunsuke Ishikawa, and Taku Kishimoto are rumoured to be working on the show’s animation and scripts, respectively.
While the 159th chapter of the anime was being released, the anime’s official announcement was made. No word yet on how many episodes Blue Lock Season 1 will feature.
My Hero Academia Season 6 and Tower Of God Season 2 will also be released in 2022, making it the year of anime.
Season 1 premiere date for the anime series Blue Lock
Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers is slated to be released around the same time as Blue Lock anime 1, making it a highly anticipated series.
Season 1 of Blue Lock is expected to include 24 episodes, with the option to stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll. Eight Bit Animation Studio, which also developed ‘The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime,’ is behind this anime’s production, according to the official Japanese anime website.
As a result, we have high hopes for the animation. Because it’s a sports anime, the animation should be of a high standard. Sports anime are few and far between compared to other genres. Haikyuu and Kuroko no Basket are well-known to everyone. As wonderful as these, or even better, we expect Blue Lock to be.
Baseball, basketball, and other sports have been the subject of numerous anime, but football has been largely overlooked. Blue Lock has an excellent possibility of becoming a big hit.
The Blue Lock manga features beautiful artwork, and unless it is well adapted, the anime may fail.
This can be demonstrated by comparing OPM season 2 to the upcoming One Punch Man Season 3, which we hope to be a success.
Despite the stunning visuals, the anime couldn’t measure up with One Punch Man Season 1 in comparison. It may be difficult to keep up with Blue Lock’s art, but the development of the game is in the hands of Eight Bit Animation Studio, so we may not be disappointed. For example, the animation of Kuroko no Basket established the ideal setting for a sports anime. Similar to the Blue Lock’s motion, this energy is supposed to be present.
Trailer and Storyline of Blue Lock’s First Season
The Blue Lock anime focuses on football. It’s finally here! The Season 1 trailer has been released, and fans have been eagerly awaiting it since the creators gave them a sneak peek.
The story takes place during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, when Japan finished 16th. Because of this, the JFA created Blue Lock, a competition for the finest strikers in Japan, to bring out their best. Only one of the 300 strikers selected from throughout the country will be able to fulfil his goal.
In order to help the strikers win the World Cup in 2022, Jinpachi Ego, an enigmatic and eccentric coach, has been hired. At Blue Lock, the strikers from all across Japan are forced to train and compete against each other, in a prison-like facility.
The strikers are expected to cultivate a strong sense of self-importance in order to become one of Japan’s National narcissistic Ace Strikers capable of winning the World Cup in Brazil. One of the 300 strikers selected for training in the Blue Lock facility is Yoichi Iisagi, the protagonist of the story.
When Yoichi and the other strikers are put together, he realises how much space for development he has. Yoichi wasn’t the finest player, but his ability to think and play, to anticipate the game’s flow, was pretty outstanding. Nagi Seishiro, the protagonist’s key supporting character, was a standout performer, too. He was impressed by his skills, talents, and play style as the final striker standing.
There was a latent skill in every player. In the words of their coach, Jinpachi Ego, they were ‘unpolished jewels’.
Consequently, the Blue Lock facility gave each of the 300 strikers a chance to shine. Yoichi, whose high school soccer team didn’t make it to the nationals because he wasn’t selfish enough, has now come to terms with his failure and sets his sights on becoming the one to bring glory to Japan. As the story progresses, the battle between the ‘unpolished diamonds’ becomes more and more exciting.
If you are a sports anime enthusiast, Blue Lock Season 1 is sure to be one of your favourites. However, there is no information on how many chapters Season 1 will include.
