The Fire Force chapter for this week has been released with spoilers. And based on these disclosures, it appears that chapter 290 will be even more explosive than the previous chapter. With the cliffhanger that last week’s chapter left us with, I’m sure you’re eager to find out what happens in the upcoming chapter. Before we get started, let’s take a brief look back at chapter 289, ‘Becoming One.’
Recap of Chapter 289
Shinra is visibly agitated in the preceding chapter, when Haumea describes the nature of salvation to him. Sho makes an attempt to soothe his sibling, which he is successful in achieving. Shinra and Sho then launch a barrage of assaults on Haumea from their vantage point. However, not a single one of them succeeds in connecting with Haumea, thanks to the Evangelist’s protection. Haumea begins to strike back gradually, all the while explaining to the couple how the cycle of despair and death operates.
She then informs Shinra that his or her fate has already been determined by fate. Once he passes away, the cataclysm will begin, as he is the only one who is able to save humanity from falling into complete despair. The primary driving force behind the catastrophe. Shinra then recalls what Haumea did to her sister Iris, which she recalls as a result of Haumea’s influence. Shinra is enraged, and he launches a barrage of attacks, all of which are successfully blocked.
Sending Shinra soaring back to the surface.
Shinra then informs Sho, who is urgently attempting to calm his older brother down, what he has learned. I will fight to protect everyone, to which Haumea responds simply, “How will you protect yourself?” I will fight to protect everyone, and Haumea will fight to protect himself. The moment she raises her hand, she rips a hole clean through his chest with her fist.
Spoilers for Chapter 290
Now that we’ve all caught up, let’s get into the spoilers for chapter 290 right away. Note that certain raws for the future chapter have already been released, therefore there are confirmed spoilers in the following section; you have been forewarned. We pick up where we left off in Chapter 280 with this chapter. Shinra collapses on the floor after being shot in the chest by Sho, who assumes he is dead at this point.
Shinra then gently rises to her feet, grasping Sho’s arm with her own hands. Shinra is being healed by a fire snake-like monster that slithers out of the hole in his chest, and it is revealed that it is the source of the healing. Actually, the captain of the 6th division, Captain Huang, possesses this power to ignite the fusion reactor.
After that, we return to Earth for a little while, where we encounter Hibana, the captain of the 5th division, and Asako Hague, the vice-captain of the 6th division. They are both seated in front of captain Huang, who is assisting Shinra in her recovery. They quickly realise that, despite the fact that she is healing our hero, his Adolla burst fire is spreading to her and slowly killing her. Hibana and Asak may be seen sobbing as Captain Huang is totally consumed by flames and smoke.
Meanwhile, Shinra and Sho are reunited in Adolla after a long period of separation. In the following moments, Shinra speaks to Haumea once again; though it is unclear what he says, it is most likely something about how he did not die as fate predicted. Shinra attempts another assault in the following panel, which fails to connect this time, but the wind from his attack causes Haumea’s hair to blow back. The evidence that he is altering his destiny and avoiding the grace of the Evangelist.
Returning to Earth, we witness the rest of the 8th Division assisting people in their time of need. When Licht senses something strange, the entire group comes together to take care of the folks in the surrounding area. Captain Obi’s lookalike creeps up behind him and slashes the original’s throat open, but he is too late to prevent the attack.
In front of his entire team of subordinates.
Shinra is able to watch this happening for some reason, or he may even feel it if he closes his eyes. Shinra cracks after this purported death because he is engulfed in murderous purpose at the time. With his naughty grin on my face.
Because captain Obi is portrayed as “humanity’s guiding light,” his death would hasten the planet’s descent into calamity even more quickly. This is especially true if the saviour, Shinra, is viewed in this heinous way.
