With the next instalment of the series, Black Clover surprises readers with the survival of one devil! With the conclusion of the last chapter of the series, Yuno was victorious in his battle against Zenon Zogratis, and the raid on the Spade Kingdom has progressed to a new stage. That meant that, with the death of the final member of the Zogratis trio in battle, the Dark Triad as a whole was defeated as well, effectively bringing the Zogratis trio to an end.
However, as the most recent chapter demonstrated, this does not necessarily imply that the struggle is done, as the Advent of Qliphoth is still ongoing even in the absence of the three devils and their hosts. We had previously seen Moris of the Diamond Kingdom being used to speed up the Advent of Qliphoth ritual while the Zogratis siblings were defending their three points, and it was revealed that he also held a devil’s power, but the latest chapter of the series threw a wrench into the works by revealing that Moris’ devil was in fact Lucifero of the Black Order.
This implies that Lucifero is still capable of attempting to breach the gates of the underworld, even after Dante has been victorious in his battle against him. When Nacht and the other characters realise that the Dark Triad has been beaten but the Advent of Qliphoth is proceeding unabated in Chapter 311 of the series, they are ecstatic.
The devils are still making their way out of the underworld, and it still feels like something monumental is about to happen. It is soon revealed that Moris’ devil was far more powerful than fans had previously imagined. In reality, it was revealed that Lucifero had been utilising the doctor as a second host in addition to Dante for quite some time before then.
He modified the Qliphoth with the help of Moris’ magic, and as a result, he no longer need the Dark Triad to open it. To make matters worse, the second gate is ready to open, which means he’ll be able to emerge from the other side. As the highest-ranking devil who lives on the lowest level of the underworld, Lucifero represents the most serious threat to the characters so far, and there’s a good chance we’ll see Asta and the others confronting this terrifying adversary very soon. That is, unless the others are able to save Yami and Vangeance before the ceremony to open the gates is fully completed and carried out. But, what are your thoughts?
If the series continues, do you believe Lucifero will be able to completely emerge in a future chapter? Asta and the others must decide if they will be able to prevent the arrival of Qliphoth before then. In the comments section, please share your thoughts on the subject.
