According to the current chapter of “Tokyo Revengers” by Ken Wakui, the history of Rokuhara Tandai, South Terano’s top dog, brought readers back in time.
Readers were left hanging after the previous chapter revealed Benkei and Wakasa were going to South Terano. The latest manga chapter began with South’s time in the Favelas and his time in Japan.
Dino used to take care of South’s ailing mother while they all lived in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When he was five, Dino showed him how to shoot a gun and murder his foes.
After that act, he was rewarded with cash, which he spent on a new pair of shoes. He was taught the advantages of aggression from an early age. Dino renamed himself from Teramo Minami to South Terano after moving to Teramo Minami in the first place.
When he was 12, he shot and killed Dino and rose to the position of a gang leader in Dino South. His mother was murdered when he was 14 by a gang that broke into his house. After that, South decided to go live with his grandparents in Japan.
In 2006, he was committed to a juvenile detention facility. Except for Kakucho, he ran upon former Tenjiku members there. When South established Rukuhara Tandai in 2007, he conquered them all and made them his subordinates.
In the same way as Mikey, South started the gang to usher in a new era of lawbreakers. South eventually beat Kakucho, but the latter only obeyed Izana after accepting his defeat.
After South’s past was told, the manga moved on to the present day, where a gang war was raging between three rival groups. However formidable, Wakasa and Benkei’s Black Dragon team may not overcome South because he is a “man of extreme aggression.” South ridiculed Wakasa and Benkei.
It’s likely that “Tokyo Revengers” 228 will continue to recount stories about the ongoing conflict between the three gangs and provide information on the South’s battles with Benkei and Wakasa. Mikey may finally learn (and accept) Draken’s death in the future chapter.
In the next chapter, readers may see Mikey flirting with someone. For Takemichi and Senju, they may remain on the sidelines, conversing about the war’s various characters.
Kodansha has the official manga issue for those interested in reading it. “Gangster” is the title of the most recent chapter.
The sequel to “Tokyo Revengers” 228 will be released on Halloween, on October 27th. The upcoming chapter’s spoilers commonly leak between Sunday and Monday on the internet, while raw scans appear on various social media sites Tuesday evening.
