Fans around the globe have eagerly anticipated an attack on Titan season 4 part 2, and a new teaser has finally revealed the series’ actual release date!
The final season of Attack on Titan was the peak of worldwide entertainment in Q1 2021.
The official Attack on Titan Twitter feed confirmed the anime’s continuation beyond the release of episode 75 on March 29, 2021.
While the news was welcomed by fans worldwide, it didn’t come as a massive surprise to anyone. Simply because the series has not yet adapted the complete manga, there is still a lot of source material to be used in the series.
Season 4: Part 2 of “Attack on Titan” is set to be released on…
The second half of Attack on Titan season 4 will air on January 9, 2022.
After episode 75 in May, the AOT Twitter feed stated that the series would return “This Winter.” Finally, in January 2022, it would be confirmed on the page that the massive anime series would come to a close.
Official confirmation was made today, October 13, with the release of a new teaser trailer, that the massive series will return to our screens on January 9, which can be seen below.
Although a particular air date and time have yet to be announced, we can assume that the show will air at the same time as season 4’s first half at 12:45 PM PDT.
Interestingly, before the second season of OAD airs in Japan, an OAD episode with multiple viewpoints from different characters will be televised.
THE ATTACK IS NOT ON TITAN 5…
There was some misunderstanding in March when Attack on Titan supporters on social media stated that the show would be returning for season 5.
Season 4 will conclude with a new season, not a prequel. This has been confirmed in an official announcement.
Season 4 of Attack on Titan was marketed as the “last season” throughout the promotional campaign.
Is Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter the final film in the saga?
There’s just one thing left to do if Attack on Titan season 4 part 2 doesn’t finish adapting the manga: turn the last chapters of the manga into a single big anime film.
There are two reasons why a final film for Attack on Titan could be Plan B instead of the television series, which most fans would like.
To begin with, fans largely disliked the manga series’ conclusion, which was published in June. However, even with Isayama’s extra pages, the final chapters still left a lot to be desired. This is something that MAPPA Studios will have to rectify in the anime adaptation.
To provide MAPPA the option of fleshing out the original ending or giving the studio enough time to construct their own, season 4 of the anime should be concluded with a sufficient number of remaining chapters for a movie.
In addition, this would be due to the phenomenal box office success of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, the film that smashed multiple box office records in Japan and was the highest-grossing film of 2020.
The temptation to break those records (like Attack on Titan certainly would) could be too much for Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, given the revenue it generates.
