Mushoku Tensei: An Anime Variation was announced via the official site of MF Books on March 15, 2019. Manabu Okamoto coordinated the anime animated by Studio Bind, with Kazutaka Sugiyama conceptualizing the character designs and Yoshiaki Fujisawa creating the soundtrack, which was later announced to be a TV arrangement on October 18, 2019.
Production is attributed to Egg Firm. The premiere of the arrangement had been scheduled for 2020. However, it has now been postponed to January 11, 2021. Yuiko Ohara performs the opening theme, “The Traveler’s Song,” and the closing music, “Just.”
