The anime’s story so far (as of 2021)
Elma is continuously rewriting her plans when they are criticized or rejected in her attempt to advocate for better working conditions at her and Kobayashi’s workplace. As a result of her efforts, they run upon Shouta’s father, their boss, who had heard rumours about dragons in their realm.
Even after forming a union, their employer quickly squashes all of their plans, although Elma only wanted to exploit this to steal the station’s meagre supply of sweets.
The three of them visit Elma and ask her to be their chaperone for a picnic as Kobayashi and Tohru are too busy to be of any help.
Elma desperately tries to track down the three when they manage to slink away, almost revealing herself as a dragon in front of Riko once more. Later, Fafnir and Kobayashi watch as Tohru and Elma engage in a training duel.
They let out their repressed rage on each other, making Elma realize how much she missed Tohru and wished they could be friends again. The two men come to terms and resume their frivolous sparring.
