An anime series called Gleipnir debuted last year and went on to succeed spectacularly. Gleipnir Season 2 has become a hot favorite among echi-action lovers with a thrilling season finale that left viewers begging for more.
The creators have already hinted at it on multiple occasions, but there has been no formal announcement yet. Is there going to be a sequel to this film? Find out more by continuing to read.
Gleipnir is a well-known psychological-thriller action manga that follows a group of teenagers (primarily) with unique abilities. A Sun Takeda tale was turned into a 13-episode television animation by Studio Pine Jam, which will run on Tokyo MX starting April 5, 2020.
This licensed English sub-release by Funimation helped increase the manga’s popularity in the west, resulting in the localization of manga in countries like France, the United States, and Spain.
Is there going to be another season of Gleipnir?
This article was written before the anime was renewed for a second season by either Studio Pine Jam or publisher Kodansha.
After the first season of an anime ended on June 28, 2020, many shows have been renewed for a second season. Gleipnir, sadly, is not one of these animated series.
Given the first season of Gleipnir’s publication date, it is too early to approve a new season. At this time, there is little official information about a second season, but speculation can be sparked based on three factors:
Is there enough content for the second season of Gleipnir?
These days, most anime that we watch has already been adapted from a previously published work of art, such as a manga or light novel.
Manga serves as the inspiration for Gleipnir’s design. We have to see how many volumes are currently available, how many have been adapted in the previous season, and whether or not the series is still running. There may be more than one volume available.
The Sun Takeda original manga in the 3rd issue of Kodansha’s Young Magazine is still being written and drawn. Serialization began in 2015, and the most recent ten volumes have all been released. Volume 4 of the manga was covered in the first season, leaving six volumes to be used.
There are currently six volumes available for adaptation, which means there is enough material for a second season. Because the series is still active, there’s a good potential for a sequel.
Gleipnir Season 2 Premiere Date: When will the second season of Gleipnir begin airing?
Even though Gleipnir’s second season hasn’t been formally announced yet, the show’s first season ran from April 5, 2020, to June 28, 2020, and a new season typically takes 1-2 years to develop.
Considering that no official announcements have been made yet, readers should view this as pure conjecture. Watch this space, though, since we’ll let you know when something formal is announced. There will be an announcement shortly.
What can we expect in terms of content from Season 2?
Volume 5 of the series will begin where volume 4 ends, with Honoka transforming into an abysmal monster, a black hole that threatens to engulf everything in its path.
Yoshioka and Shuichi decide to reunite once more to defeat this monster and reclaim Shuichi’s stolen memories. As a result of their efforts, they learn more about Shuichi’s relationship with Elena, including their battle to bring down Kaito and Honoka. The conflict over the enigmatic extraterrestrial currency has reached its climax.
Next year, when this article is updated, we’ll see if anything has changed. Season 2 or season 3 of Redo of Healer or How not to Summon a Demon Lord may be of interest to you while waiting.
